Manoj Bajpayee, who will be next seen playing a traffic
police constable in Traffic, was also seen playing a police constable in his
last short movie Taandav and though both the characters were Maharashtrian
police personnel from a lower-middle class background, Manoj affirms that the
two characters are not similar at all.
Talking about the two characters, Bajpayee told, ''My Traffic
and Taandav characters are completely different from each other. My character
in Taandav is a police constable, who doesn't want to take any stress in life,
which is why he breaks into a dance when the stress threatens to overwhelm him.
On the other hand, the character I have played in Traffic stresses a lot over
things and ends up doing things that he regrets later. So though both the
characters are Maharashtrian police constables, they are quite different from
each other.''
Traffic, which is based on true events, is slated to release
this weekend.
