Kareena Kapoor Khan has reportedly bagged the lead role in
the Shashanka Ghosh's Veera Di Shaadi, which is an adaptation of the Hollywood
flick The Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants. The upcoming film will be
produced by Sonam Kapoor's sister,Rhea Kapoor and earlier, Sonam was tipped to
play 'Veera' in the film. Now the Neerja actor will play the second lead.
The chick flick revolves around Veera and seemingly, Kareena
loved the script and she made sure that she had the meatiest role. Apart from
Kareena and Sonam, the film stars Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania in
supporting roles. According to sources, the makers have roped in Kareena as she
would bring star value to the film.
The Hollywood film revolves around four friends who are
about to separate for the summer for the first time in their lives. They part
the next day, and the film focuses on each girl's journey separately.
The film is expected to go on floors in July. Kareena will
be next seen in Udta Punjab, which also stars Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor and
Diljit Dosanjh.
