Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's father
Krishnaraj Rai, who was keeping critical for the past few days, passed away on
March 18, 2017 around 4 pm. Rai was in the ICU and his condition was very
critical.
As soon as we learnt about the news, we got in touch with
Aishwarya's spokesperson, who confirmed the news to us.
Krishnaraj Rai was admitted to Lilavati Hospital. Megastar
Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Ajitabh Bachchan, Mickey Contractor,
Kunal Kapoor, Sikandar Kher among others had visited him.
Seemingly, Krishnaraj Rai had previously undergone a
treatment for cancer in the past and seemingly the cancer had relapsed. The
doctors later disclosed that he suffered from Lymphoma Cancer, which spread to
the brain.
Both Abhishek and Aishwarya were in and out of the hospital
for the last one month. Photographers spotted the couple outside the hospital
often. Aishwarya recently also got emotional while hugging with BFF Mickey
Contractor. Reportedly, she even broke down during actor Suniel Shetty's
father's funeral, who passed away after prolonged illness. She could barely
control her tears at the prayer meet, since she was undergoing a similar
situation in her personal life.
When Aishwarya was juggling between her personal and
professional life, a source had informed us, "Aishwarya is heartbroken.
She has been managing her entire schedule and is making sure that she is
present by her father's side throughout.
Krishnaraj Rai is lived by his wife Vrinda, son Aditya Rai,
daughter-in-law Shrima Rai, daughter Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and son-in-law
Abhishek Bachchan.
