In a few years, I will surely turn director: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan


Bollywood diva Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is back on the big screen with Fanney Khan, in which the actress will be seen playing the role of a stylish pop star who is known by the name of Baby Singh. Fanney Khan is helmed by debutant Atul Manjrekar and is co-produced by ROMP Pictures and T-Series. The film also stars Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao.

Recently, Aishwarya also disclosed that she would like to wear the director's hat one day. Aishwarya specified that her directors and co-stars have teased her about her immense interest in understanding the craft of movie making. Aishwarya also admired that husband and actor Abhishek Bachchan has encouraged her to explore the world of direction.

Aishwarya has worked with some of the most well-known directors including Mani Ratnam, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Karan Johar, just to name a few. Speaking about how she will be a hands-on director, Aishwarya revealed, "When I do direct, I will throw myself whole-heartedly in it. It will never be a fly-by-night commitment for me, as my work consumes me completely."
