First-rate filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker has finally finished
the principal photography of his magnum opus Mohenjo Daro and he has also
locked a release date for the much-talked about period romance. The movie will
have an Independence Day weekend release and is all set to illumine the screens
on August 12.
The lead actor of the movie, Hrithik Roshan, announced the
news in style on his Instagram page. Team Mohenjo Daro wrapped up the last
schedule of the movie on Monday and an overjoyed Hrithik posted a picture,
which shows him holding the film's clapboard, on the popular image sharing site.
One can also see Ashutosh Gowariker standing beside the light-eyed actor in the
image. Through the captions, Hrithik has proclaimed that the film, which has
been made on a mammoth scale, will create history.
Former beauty queen Pooja Hegde will mark her Bollywood
debut with the movie opposite Hrithik and the industry is quite eager to see
this fresh Jodi.
Produced by AGPPL and Disney India, the film is set in the
ancient city of Mohenjo-daro in the era of the Indus Valley civilization that
dates back to 2600 BC. The film's music has been composed by Academy
Award-winning music director A.R. Rahman and it also stars Kabir Bedi and
Arunoday Singh in the lead roles.
