Stars generally have to deal with fans, who turn into
stalkers, but this might be the first time in the history of Bollywood that an
actor became a stalker for the sake of a movie.
At the trailer launch of Azhar, which is based on the life
and struggles of former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin,Emraan
Hashmi, who plays the lead role, told, “Eventually I almost became a stalker, I
used to stare at him to copy all his gestures. I think I made his life hell for
three-four months.” Hashmi told that as Azhar is a well-known personality, he
had to take extra care to see to it that he faithfully captures his mannerism
and his body language.
Directed by Tony D'Souza, Azhar also stars Prachi Desai,
Nargis Fakhri and Lara Dutta.
