Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan starrer Hindi Medium was one of
the best movies released in 2017. Helmed by Saket Chaudhary, the movie also
starred Saba Qamar and Deepak Dobriyal in vital roles.
As stated in a daily, the sequel for the movie will go on
floors in August this year. It is told that producer Dinesh Vijan is planning
for a sequel to the movie.
Irrfan Khan will continue his role as Raj Batra in the movie.
Saba Qamar, who essayed Irrfan's wife in Hindi Medium had revealed
a Pakistani tabloid that she wishes to be a part of the sequel. She told,
"After the massive success of Hindi Medium, the producers are all set for
a sequel. I hope Irrfan and I get to work in the second instalment of the
blockbuster."
But as stated by the tabloid, Saba and the Dishita Sehgal
(who played Irrfan and Saba's daughter in Hindi Medium) won't be a part of the
sequel.
A source revealed, "The story flash-forwards by a
decade so five-year-old Pia will be in her teens now, around 15-16 years. The
story will be a fresh take on the Indian educational system with little
reference to the original."
But, Saket Chaudhary has no idea about the sequel. He revealed,
"I have no idea about the film, I’m not a part of it."
