The Maharashtrian Of The Year Award goes to versatile Ranveer Singh!

Ranveer Singh, who played the role of great Maratha warrior Peshwa Bajirao, in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's opus Bajirao Mastaniwill be feted with the Maharashtrian Of The Year Award, this Friday.

The award honours those who have risen above the rest and have positively impacted Maharashtra and have put brand Maharashtra on the Indian and global radar. By persuasively essaying the role of Bajirao, Singh has managed to tell the world about the legendary warrior and Maharashtra's rich culture. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will present the award to the actor.


This award will be all the more special for Ranveer as it has earlier been awarded to Bollywood legends Amitabh Bachchanand Dilip Kumar.
