It has been a couple of years since City Lights hit the
screens. The movie saw some good critical praise coming its way and also
introduced Patralekha to Bollywood. In the role of a village migrant who turns
into a dance bar girl in Mumbai, Patralekha delivered a confident act. Now she
is going through a complete change from the characterization perspective in
Love Games. In Vikram Bhatt's drama based on swingers and fu&k buddies, she
is enacting the part of Ramona Raichand - a sex addict. While she has let go
off any inhibitions whatever in this adults-only affair, one expects a lot more
to be offered in the movie.
''Yes, what you get to see in the film is something that has
never been shown on screen in Bollywood,'' tells Patralekha, ''It is remarkable
to see the kind of approach that Vikram takes when making a film. He doesn't
socialize much and is a workaholic. His concentration is always on his work. He
doesn't talk too much and there I was reaching out to him frequently and
annoying him with my problems.''
Vikram stayed cool, calm and composed right through though.
''Yes, he would guide me through the entire process as a
teacher,'' she continues, ''He is an amazing person to work with. He has seen
so much in life and has a lot to offer as an actor and also as a human being.
See, everyone has ups and downs in life. There is nothing is static or
permanent. That's what makes you a person you are.''
While she is gung-ho about her director, how about the
reactions that are coming her way, now that the film is set for release.
