In Kabir Singh, Shahid is essaying the titular character who
is a man full of rage and is fanatically in love with his girlfriend played by
Kiara Advani. Shahid’s Kabir Singh is a remake of Telugu film Arjun Reddy in
which Vijay Deverakonda essayed the lead role.
Post the teaser launch, numerous people loved Shahid’s angry
young man side. Amongst them was Baahubali star Prabhas too. Prabhas didn’t
just love it, he even went ahead and congratulated him for his movie. As per a media
source, their stylist Aalim Haakim had connected Prabhas and Shahid over a call
and they both talked for about 10 minutes in which Prabhas praised him and
wished him all the luck for the movie.
In a latest chat with a daily, Shahid disclosed how he felt
post the call and stated that the 10 minutes of conversation with such a big star
(Prabhas) left him with an awe-inspiring feeling. Shahid revealed since Prabhas
and he share the same hairstylist, he connected them over a call and they spoke
about Kabir Singh. Shahid revealed, “We share a hairstylist, Aalim [Hakim].
They were talking about the teaser, and the next thing you know, he called to
congratulate me. The 10-minute chat left me overwhelmed."
Kabir Singh is scheduled to release on June 21, 2019.
