Ever since the remake of the 1989 hit Ram Lakhan was declared,
names of several actors are doing the rounds to be cast in the title roles.
While Ranveer Singh is a contender to portray the role of the young and
energetic Lakhan, the makers of the film have been looking for the right actor
to play the role of the elder brother, which was played by Jackie Shroff in the
original movie.
Now, we hear that actor Shahid Kapoor is a front-runner to
bag the role of Ram in the movie, which will be helmed by Rohit Shetty and
co-produced by Dharma Productions. But, the director has said that he is still finalizing
the script and no actors have been finalized yet.
The makers are also looking for two actresses to reprise the
roles of Madhuri Dixit Nene and Dimple Kapadia. The movie is expected to go on
floors by the end of this year.
