Hair is a women's crowning glory - the producers of the much anticipated Fitoor must be realizing much to their chagrin as they had to shell out 55 lacs to get the much desired locks for Katrina Kaif.

From the trailer to the promos, the one thing about the movie which seems to have caught everyone's eye is the luscious red mane that Katrina Kaif and Tabu can be seen sporting in the movie. Abhishek Kapoor seemingly has designed the look which is symbolic to Kashmir's Chinar leaves. The poor producers had to bear the brunt and shell out a whopping sum to get the preferred hair colour.

As per the rumor mill, there are talks which suggest that getting Katrina's red hair cost the producers a humongous Rs 55 lakh. Can you imagine it? Although there have been no official confirmation yet, news suggest such a development.

It seems that the team was not getting the desired colour tone for Katrina's hair, and hence they decided to bring in a hair colour expert to work on her hair. And being the dedicated professional, Katrina had to fly to London every month to get the colour correction done - for continuity's sake. And it was Katrina's first class tickets and five star accommodation that added to the producer's cost!

It seems that Katrina's mane has not only mesmerized the viewers but also the Dabang Salman Khan who could not stop heaping praises on the stunning Katrina at the Bigg Boss 9 finale which was held lately.

Mom Salma and sister Alvira throw a baby shower for Arpita Khan Sharma!

Salman Khan's sister Arpita Khan is expecting her first child with husband Aayush Sharma and she lately organised a grand baby shower at her Mumbai residence.

She was joined by her close friends, sister Alvira Khan and mom Salma Khan. One of her friends is also preggers and the to-be-mommies were seen flaunting there baby bumps.

The party looked amusing, with everybody dressed in comfy t-shirts and Arpita posted several pictures of her baby shower on Instagram.

Veteran Rishi Kapoor criticizes Awards Ceremonies, takes potshots at Parineeti!

Previously, Kangana Ranaut released a statement shunning Indian awards ceremonies and now, Rishi Kapoor has also voiced his anguish against the current state of movie awards. He also took potshots at Parineeti Chopra, who lately got an award for losing weight at a popular awards function.

An annoyed Kapoor stated that he couldn't believe it when Parineeti Chopra received an award for losing weight. He further added, "Can someone please give me an award for gaining weight?"

He told that he never believed in popular awards but, they have become worse now. Kapoor told that he uses trophies as doorstops as the organizers just want to give awards to everybody to please them and have reduced them to mere trivia.

He lamented that awards shows these days are merely for television and TRPs. Rishi Kapoor, who has been honored with lifetime achievement award several times, got one this year as well but, he doesn't take them seriously and only focuses on his work.

Shooting for 'Mere Ankhon Se Nikle Aansoo' actually brought tears to my eyes, reveals Ruhi Singh!

Actress Ruhi Singh, who will be next seen romancing newbie Krishna Chaturvedi in upcoming rom-adventure Ishq Forever, had quite a tough time shooting for the film due to extreme weather conditions and Ruhi recently shared an amusing anecdote about one of her experiences while shooting a song.

The former beauty queen said with a chuckle, ''I remember we were shooting for this song mere ankhon se nikle aansoo and I actually had tears in my eyes while shooting this track. Not because it was an emotional moment, but because we were shooting in a place that was hit by a sandstorm and the sand kept hurting our eyes. However, despite this, we were required to give the necessary expressions without blinking and this made us quite teary-eyed!''

Ishq Forever has been directed by Sameer Sippy and produced by Ajay Shah, Himanshu Gandhi and Shabeer Boxwala under their banner Friday Cine Entertainment. The film is slated to release on February 19.

Actor Ranveer Singh uncovers the first look of 'Befikre'!

Ranveer Singh, who will be playing the lead role in Aditya Chopra's forthcoming directorial endeavor Befikre, today teased his fans with the first look of the movie.

Ranveer posted two pictures of the Eiffel Tower, made completely out of love hearts, and they read 'Those Who Dare To Love' and 'Ceux Qui Osent Aimer', respectively. The movie will be shot majorly in Paris and thus the Eiffel Tower and the French words.

Mesmerized Sachiin Joshi decides to remake RGV's 'Killing Veerappan' in Hindi!

Ram Gopal Varma's newest Kannada release Killing Veerappan has got an owing response down South and so impressed was actor-filmmaker Sachiin Joshi after watching the film. Now he has decided to remake it in Hindi.

But, he felt dissatisfied as he didn't know Veerappan's story in depth. Sachiin explains, "At the back of my mind, I kept thinking what caused a man like Veerappan to rise in the first place. Later, RGV told me that his reason for focusing only on his killing was because all Kannadigas knew the back story. But once I heard the whole story, it blew my mind. I insisted that this film had to be made as a biopic on an international level for it to reach its true potential. I want RGV to make this without any compromises because this will be a once in a lifetime project."

RGV was uncertain about releasing the same version in Hindi because he thought people need to know and understand the sandalwood smuggler's life story before coming to the point of his encounter. The Hindi version is going to be completely re-shot, and the story will trace the rise of Veerappan, the failure of the system to curb his growth and the eventual blood-curdling strategy which led to his killing.

Kamal Haasan’s Twitter debut has welcomed by 30,000 followers within 24 hours!

Veteran actor Kamal Haasan marked his Twitter debut on January 26 with a patriotic post and within 24 hours he has got over 38000 followers on the micro-blogging site.

The 61-year-old posted, "India’s freedom struggle remains unique even today. Respecting it is the only way to keep it and set new world standards." He also posted a rendition of the National Anthem in his voice along with the tweet.

His daughter, Shruti Haasan welcomed him, writing, "One of the happiest moments ever on Twitter! Welcome my most favorite person @ikamalhaasan to twitter!!! Love you appa."

Richa Chadha rehearsed for a few days before the Punjabi song went on the floors!

Richa Chadda will be essaying the role of Sarabjit Singh's wife Sukhpreet Kaur in the latter's biopic Sarbjit, which is being directed by filmmaker Omung Kumar and she lately shot for a fun Punjabi song for the film.

Speaking about the song, Richa told, "We rehearsed for a few days before the song went on the floors. It's choreographed by Vishnudeva." Talking about her role she further added, "It's a superb character. I am working on getting the diction right."

The actress will be reuniting with her Main Aur Charles co-star Randeep Hooda, who is playing the titular role, in Sarbjit. “You will see more romance this time around. The earlier film was quite intense. Working with Aishwarya too is pretty amazing," she revealed.

The movie also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and will release on May 19, this year.

Kaif's meeting with Khan is the reason for 'Jagga Jasoos' delay, reveals Basu!

Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif's break-up has taken a toll on their forthcoming movie Jagga Jasoos and believe it or not, the director of the film - Anurag Basu feels that Salman Khan is the reason behind his film's delay!

The film has been getting delayed ever since it went on floors and now, its January schedule too has gone for a toss. Ranbir, who was living in with Katrina, has now moved into a new house and news had it that Katrina met Salman post their break-up and the two had a long discussion. Post that Katrina and Ranbir stopped shooting for Jagga Jasoos and we hear that in an inebriated state, Basu told that Kaif's meeting with Khan is the reason why they are not on schedule.

Team Jagga Jasoos was supposed to fly to Morocco by the end of this month but, now it has been pushed to March.

Direct Ishq’s actor Rajniesh Duggall steps in to resolve brawl with BHU students!

It could well have turned from Direct Ishq to 'Direct War', had it not been some quick thinking on part of Rajniesh Duggall to prevent it all. All of this happened at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, where a major portion of the actor's forthcoming movie Direct Ishq was being shot. These were early days at the shoot and the film's crew was still getting familiarized to the locations that had been reserved for the shoot.

"The makers had taken all the relevant permissions from the university, and hence it was pretty much expected that the shoot will go on smoothly," informs a senior unit member, "However, in the early days itself, there was some trouble in store when a key sequence was underway at the university's library. Our cinematographer was facing some difficulty in setting the shot since there were certain students who were continuously appearing in the frame."

Though director Rajiv S. Ruia and his team of assistants and crowd controllers were trying their best to clear up the frame, enthusiasm amongst the students was at its peak, as a result of which tension starting building up.

"In this atmosphere, a scuffle broke between the production team members and a couple of students, and soon there were verbal volleys being thrown around as well. For director Ruia and cinematographer Suresh Beesaveni, this was a worrisome moment as it seemed that the situation would soon go out of hand," the unit member continues.

This is where Rajniesh decided to take things in his hands and stepped in to resolve the situation. Though it was a risky move, considering the fact that his Khatron Ke Khiladi stint had already made him a popular face amongst youth, and hence risked being mobbed, Rajniesh - along with his co-star Arjun Bijlani and director Rajiv S. Ruia did walk up to the students.

"The trio had a polite discussion with the students and explained to them how it was in the best interest of everyone to allow the shoot proceed smoothly," the source explains.

Further masterstroke was played when the leader of the agitated group was called aside and offered the position of security in-charge for the rest of the shoot. Unexpectedly, the ones who were perceived to be a threat to the Banaras schedule were now the most supporting of the lot, and ensured that the shoot went on comfortably till the unit called packed up on the last date.

On contacted, Rajniesh told, "Well, such things happen. The good thing is that there was no damage done on either side. All is well that ends well."

Ileana D'Cruz and Esha Gupta are female lead for Akshay Kumar in Rustom!

We have informed previously that Akshay Kumar and Neeraj Pandey will team up once again for Rustom and though at the time, there were no confirmations about the female lead, we have got to know that Akshay will be seen sharing screen space with not one but two Bollywood beauties.

We have learned that actresses Ileana D'Cruz and Esha Gupta have been signed up to star in the movie and that Esha will be seen playing a grey character in the film. Apart from these two actresses, the movie will also star actors Sharad Kelkar, Sachin Khedekar, Pavan Malhotra, Kumud Mishra, Kanwaljit Singh and Brijendra Kala among others. Rustom is seemingly a romantic thriller and set in the late 50s.

Deepika Padukone’s preparation for a Hollywood film!

Leggy lass Deepika Padukone is the newest Bollywood celeb to make her debut in Hollywood and the actress will be seen opposite Hollywood action star Vin Diesel in XXX-The Return Of Xander Cage.

Seemingly, Deepika too will have some action scenes in the movie and the actress lately uploaded a video clip on her Instagram page to inform her fans about her training. The video clip that Deepika uploaded on her page, shows the actress doing pull-ups at a gym. We have learned that Yasmin Kaachiwala, who had trained Katrina Kaif for Tees Maar Khan and Deepika earlier for Ram Leela, is helping the actress get fit for her Hollywood debut.

Girish Kumar’s drunken bachelor's party through Peene Ki Tamanna!

Soon, Loveshhuda would hit the screens. With its young pair of Girish Kumar and Navneet Dhillon already making a mark, chemistry a sizzling chemistry on display through the film's song and dance numbers, as well as the lingo that belongs to today's generation, the movie has managed to strike a chord amongst youth.

"This has already been established through Peene Ki Tamanna, a song centered on a drunken bachelor's party, which comes right at the beginning of the film. That said, it isn't as if today's youth is just about drinking and making merry. Traditions aren't something that can be shrugged away either. One look at the Punjabi celebration number Chitta Kukkad, and you would know that Loveshhuda is pretty much connected to the roots as well," our source discloses.

Chitta Kukkad is a song that has Tisca Chopra, who plays Girish's sister in the movie, stepping in as well and showing her dance moves. Since the situation demanded 'naachgaana' in a Punjabi atmosphere, the team made sure that right from the music to the sets to the decor and the choreography was completely in line with the mood, stage and setting.

"The film replicates today's day and age where an individual makes every moment remarkable, right from holding a Bachelor's party to the wedding," our source further adds, "All of this fits in quite well into Loveshhuda since it is an unconventional fun-filled romcom that is nothing less than a roller coaster of relationships, which sails through its ups and downs. This is what leads to all around entertainment where you have drunk bachelor parties and elaborate Punjabi weddings coming together with scenes of after-parties and what happens thereafter."

'Rocky Handsome' is the answer to Hollywood, says John Abraham!

John Abraham, who is eagerly awaiting the release of the teaser of his upcoming film Rocky Handsome today, seems quite proud about the film and kept on gushing about it when asked to talk about it.

Talking about the film, which has been directed by Nishikant Kamat, John said that he trained in Tai Chi and Aikido as well as knife-fighting for the action sequences in the film. The hunk also proudly added that Rocky Handsome will be Bollywood's answer to all those larger-than-life action films made in Hollywood. Abraham however also hastened to add that no action film can be complete without emotions and that Rocky Handsome has that in spades too.

Rocky Handsome, which also stars Shruti Haasan and Nathalia Kaur, is slated to release on March 25.

Actress Asin wedded with Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma in New Delhi, on Tuesday. The couple exchanged vows in two private ceremonies – a church wedding which was followed by Hindu ceremonies. Asin's Housefull 2 co-star Akshay Kumar, who had also introduced the couple to each other, served as the groom's best man.

For her church marriage, Asin wore a white gown and looked gorgeous in it while her beau looked dapper in his black suit. Delhi-based band, Elohim Worship Band performed at their white marriage. The Hindu rituals were performed in the evening and the groom arrived in an open car with the baaraat. Their marriage ceremonies were held at Dusit Devarana Resort, New Delhi amid tight security and only family members and close friends were invited to the do.

Katrina’s will not share Ranbir’s Vanity Van on Jagga Jasoos set!

We had informed earlier that lovebirds Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor have split, maybe due to Ranbir's closeness to former girlfriend Deepika Padukone during the promotions of Tamasha and it seems that this has affected their chemistry on the sets of Jagga Jasoos, in which they are romantically paired opposite each other.

Sources claim that lately when Katrina came on the sets of the movie for the shooting, she demanded a separate vanity van and that the two filmed a scene together without exchanging any words apart from what was written in the script. Katrina's request for a separate vanity van came as an astonishment to the unit members as the two have always shared the same van in the past. Kapoor, who had been living in with Kaif in Bandra, has also moved out of the flat, it seems.

Directed by Anurag Basu, Jagga Jasoos will have Ranbir playing a teenage detective searching for his long lost father.

Now Varun Dhawan hires Arabic teacher for Dishoom!

Varun Dhawan, who is currently shooting for his brother Rohit Dhawan's forthcoming directorial endeavor Dishoom, is learning Arabic these days to get into the skin of his character.

Dishoom is set against the backdrop of Middle East Asia and the actor is spending a lot of time learning the local language - Arabic to make his character sound real.

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala has hired an Arabic diction coach to help the actor brush up his diction. The coach is also present on the sets to help Varun refine the nuances of the language.

Varun will be sharing screen space with John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez in the movie.

Injured Shahid Kapoor back on Rangoon’s set!

Actor Shahid Kapoor, who will be next seen playing an INA soldier in Vishal Bhardwaj's forthcoming movie Rangoon, had been advised rest by a doctor after he injured his finger and developed a fever while shooting for an action sequence in artificial rains.

Now, it seems that the actor is back to shooting for the movie and today morning, the actor took to Twitter to posted, “Morning all. #rangoon on set.”

Shahid also uploaded a picture of himself from the sets of the movie, wherein he is seen wearing aviators and his military moustache.

Apart from Shahid, Rangoon also stars Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut.

Twelve funky folk songs for Jai Gangaajal!

Much-admired filmmaker Prakash Jha is known for making hard-hitting and relevant movies on many social issues and this time, he is exploring the relationship between police and the society with his forthcoming directorial venture Jai Gangaajal.

Music has always played a very important role in Jha's movies but, this time instead of using a powerful background score, the National Award-winning filmmaker has used earthy folk songs to take the screenplay of his movie to the next level. Believe it or not, the movie will have twelve songs composed by Salim-Sulaiman!

Talking about the film's music, Prakash Jha told, ''You will be very surprised to know that my film has twelve songs. They have been composed by Salim-Sulaiman and all them are very beautiful and earthy.''

Salim Merchant revealed, ''Prakash ji told us that he wants to adorn each sequence, be it action or emotional, with a song. We were very surprised at his request and wondered how we will do it. Music has always been an integral part of Prakash ji's films but this time he wanted songs instead of a background score. It's a very new and interesting treatment.''

Sulaiman Merchant further added, ''It's always a unique experience to work with Prakash Jha because he always takes us to an experimental stage. Our film's music is very funky folk as we have presented popular folk songs in a very modern way and the end result is fantastic."

Award-winning lyricist Manoj Muntashir, who is known for his work in hits like Baahubali, PK and Baby to name a few, has penned the lyrics of the film. Disco King Bappi Lahiri has also lent his voice to one of the songs of the film. The trailer of the movie has received double thumbs up from both the audiences and the critics and one can hear the song 'uttar bhaag le' sung by Sukhwinder Singh in its background, which infuses a new life in all the scenes of the trailer.

Written and directed by Prakash Jha, produced by Prakash Jha Productions and Play Entertainment and co-produced by Milind Dabke, Jai Gangaajal revisits the dusty heartland of Central India and examines the society–police relationship. Starring Priyanka Chopra, the movie is all set to release on 4th March, 2016. Jai Gangaajal is not a prequel or a sequel to Ajay Devgn starrer Gangaajal but is a fresh story.

But, though he was advised by doctors to rest for a week, Varun started working out after taking a break for just three days! Confirming the same, Varun told that he has no time to recover as he has to get ready for a 40-day schedule of action-packed shooting in Abu Dhabi. Veteran actor Kabir Bedi tied the knot with his long-time lover Parveen Dusanj on his 70th birthday and while everybody else was happy for the duo, daughter Pooja Bedi didn't seem too pleased with this wedding and took to Twitter to make nasty comments about Dusanj.

Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor's rumored break-up has become the talk of the town and it seems that after splitting with the Kapoor scion, Katrina is finding comfort in her alleged ex-lover Salman Khan's company.

When news of their break-up surfaced, it was informed that Katrina had a long chit-chat with Khan at a suburban studio and from the very same day, Ranbir and the former stopped shooting for their next Jagga Jasoos.

Sultan director Ali Abbas Zafar lately threw a bash and when Katrina came to know that Salman too will be at the do, she decided to attend it. At the party, she saw Salman chatting with his Sultan director and she also joined them. The trio talked for some time and then Zafar left the discussion to give the duo sometime alone.

Emraan Hashmi’s different look in 'Raaz 4'!

Actors are known for changing the way they look for the different roles that they play, but Emraan Hashmi desires to take things further with his next movie Raaz 4, in which he plays a vampire.

Sources attached to the unit claim that Emraan doesn't want to sound his usual self in the forthcoming movie and hence, will be attending a voice modulation workshop and train with a professional voice coach to sound different. News has it that the voice coach will also be present with Hashmi as and when he dubs for the movie.

Emraan will be next seen playing the lead role in Azhar, a biopic on the life of former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin.

Versatile Danseuse Rinil Routh forays into Bollywood with 'Rhythm'!

The multi-talented Rinil Routh is ready to kick-start her Bollywood journey with writer-director Vivek Kumar's forthcoming film Rhythm. Rinil is trained in numerous dance forms and as the film required the female lead to be a great dancer, the makers felt she was suitable for the role. She has trained in Hip Hop, Contemporary and Street Jazz Dance from the Broadway Dance Center and Kathak from Pandit Birju Maharaj.

Talking about his film’s leading lady, Vivek Kumar told, “I chose Rinil for the role purely because she had all the qualities I was looking for in the character of Avantika. Rinil is a true Indian at heart but being based in New York she had the right attitude required for the role. Apart from being a fantastic actor, she is a trained dancer.This helped me to extract very good work from her as the role of Avantika is a very difficult one. Since my film is based in an International University, I wanted to choose actors, who were actually from different parts of the world to give more authenticity to all of the characters in the film and as luck would have it, everything just fell into place."

With her astonishing skills, this debutante is ready to take Bollywood by storm.

The romantic musical, presented by R. N. Kumar and produced by Vivek Kumar, also stars Pakistani actor-singer Adeel Chaudhry, will be releasing on 19th February, 2016.

OMG! Ranbir and Katrina call it quits?

If rumor mill is to be believed, then all is not well between Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor. Apparently, the celebrity duo has split up but, neither Kapoor nor Kaif has confirmed the rumors.

While many believe that they broke up because of irresoluble differences, many say that their respective former flames may have had a role to play in it. Rumor mill has it that Ranbir's closeness to his ex Deepika Padukone during the promotions of Tamasha was the final nail in the coffin of their already tumultuous relationship. 'Desi Girl' Priyanka to play a villainous avatar in Baywatch based movie!

We had informed a couple of days back that actress Priyanka Chopra, who has been wowing everybody with her role as FBI recruit Alex Parrish in ABC show Quantico, might make her Hollywood debut with a movie based on the hit TV series Baywatch.

We lately got to know that the 'Desi Girl' might be seen playing a villainess in the movie, which is also slated to star Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. Readers might remember that Priyanka had played a negative character in Aitraaz and had earned very good reviews for her role as a corporate biggie, who sexually harasses her subordinate (Akshay Kumar).

The film based on Baywatch centres on the leader of an elite group of lifeguards (Johnson), who is forced to team up with a young, hotshot former Olympian (Efron) to save their beloved bay.
