Aamir Khan has done an extensive research for making film on Rustom?

Film Rustom has swept away the box office and Akshay's act has come in for high admirations from all quarters. But did you know a little secret - it was Aamir Khan who wanted to do the role.

As per the reports, Aamir was secretly working on his own movie based on the infamous KM Nanavati case. The gossip has it that Mr. Perfectionist had conducted extensive research into the case and had even gotten in touch with Sylvia, Nanavati's widow to get her on board. Regrettably, the project fell through when a couple of other films based on the same case were announced.

Apparently, Aamir was collaborating with director Ram Madhvani of Neerja fame for this project and the two even met Sylvia who now resides in London. It seems that Sylvia was very kicked up about the project since Aamir is known to be a megastar with a conscience. But then things fell apart when Akshay Kumar and Neeraj Pandey announced Rustom. Pooja Bhatt and Soni Razdan also announced Love Affair, based on the same subject.

Insider news has it that team Aamir who were researching on the project are quite saddened after seeing Rustom as they feel it has very little to do with the actual case and their approach towards the movie would have been totally different. They feel such a subject deserved to be brought to celluloid with some responsibility. The project has now been put on ice. That’s really sad since it would have been really interesting to see Aamir’s take on this complex saga of love, betrayal and honour.

Taking up a role only takes 10-15 mins, not days, reveals Akshay Kumar!

We all have read about or heard actors talking about how they took weeks to understand a role and get under the skin of the character, but for Akshay Kumar, this process is a piece of cake, seemingly.

During a latest interview, Akshay Kumar told that all those actors, who claim to need days or weeks to understand a role are lying and that it takes only 10-15 minutes to understand and play a role. Kumar further added that there is nothing difficult about the process and that acting is not as difficult as other actors make it sound to be. Surprise what Ranveer Singh, who had claimed to have locked himself up for days to get under the skin of his Bajirao Mastani character has to say about this now.

Akshay will be next seen essaying a Navy officer in Rustom, which is based on the infamous KM Nanavati case.

Akshay Kumar uncovers 'Rustom' poster as a Parsi Naval officer!

We had stated previously that Akshay Kumar's forthcoming movie Rustom, in which he plays a Parsi Naval officer, seems to have been inspired by the notorious KM Nanavati case and the poster of the movie, which was unveiled by Akshay on his Twitter page, seems to strongly support our theory.

In the poster that Akshay disclosed on his page, we can see Akshay in his Navy uniform with his female lead Ileana D'Cruz being hugged by another man in the background. We can also see a newspaper headline that reads, ''3 shots that shocked the nation.'' Akshay also wrote, ''3 shots that shocked the nation and changed his life! Find out what happened with #Rustom this August 12, 2016.''

For those who do not know this, KM Nanavati, a Parsi Naval officer was charged with the murder of his wife's lover and the sensational trial by jury that followed, shook the country. Incidentally, Nanavati's trial was the last trial by jury in India.

Alongside Akshay and Ileana, Rustom also stars Esha Gupta, who will reportedly play a grey character.
