Rishi Kapoor opens ups about Govinda’s expulsion from Jagga Jasoos!

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor's Jagga Jasoos has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. The film, which was previously scheduled to release in 2014, suffered frequent delays and finally hit the screens on July 14, 2017. Apart from the delay, it was Govinda's expulsion from the film that grabbed headlines.

Lately, a few images of Govinda from Jagga Jasoos leaked on the web, baffling people whether he is a part of the movie or no. While sources close to Govinda agreed that he is very much a part of the film, later both Anurag Basu and Ranbir Kapoor repudiated the news.

Now, Ranbir Kapoor's father Rishi Kapoor responded to this news in an interview with a daily. When he was questioned about it, he told, "Sometimes, Ranbir's films do well, sometimes, they don't. But here, Ranbir is the producer too, and his neck is in the noose. Who the hell are you (Basu) to do all this? It is ridiculous that a producer hadn't seen his product a day ahead of the film's release. You may be the biggest director in the world but nobody would like to work with you because you are irresponsible. There is somebody else's money involved in this. I trusted you (Basu), and this is what you give us? Ranbir hasn't held back on spending money on it. You (Anurag Basu) even threw Govinda out of the film. If you don't want Govinda to work in your film, why did you ask him in the first place? Iss sab mein Ranbir ka naam toh kharaab hoga, aur kya? Mera kharaab hoga! (With these developments, it's Ranbir and my name that's gathered negative limelight)."

Jagga Jasoos a joy to watch, says Amitabh Bachchan!

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan praised Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif-starrer "Jagga Jasoos" calling it innovative, delightful and a well-executed movie.

Directed by Anurag Basu, "Jagga Jasoos" released on Friday after being in the pipeline for over three years.

"Just saw 'Jagga Jasoos' could not resist telling Anurag what a delightful, innovative, well executed film it was; a joy to watch," Amitabh posted.

Besides Amitabh, filmmaker Karan Johar also hailed the movie on the micro-blogging site.

"I hear 'Jagga Jasoos' is the most unusually treated narrative with heartening performances! Basu is undoubtedly a beautifully chaotic mind," Karan posted.

"Word on the street is that Ranbir proves his mettle as a supreme star actor yet again and this is Katrina's best yet! ‘Jagga Jasoos'," he added.

Actress Lisa Ray told that the film deserves a sequel.

"Adored everything about feel good, beautifully shot and acted ‘Jagga Jasoos'. This one deserves not only a look, but a sequel," she posted.

Sonam Kapoor has objection with Ranbir over fashion icon Katrina Kaif!

Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif are busy with the promotions of their movie Jagga Jasoos. The movie directed by Anurag Basu is all set to release on July 14th. Through the promotions of the film, Ranbir and Katrina have been all admirations for each other. But, Sonam Kapoor feels that Ranbir Kapoor went a bit ahead of himself when he admired Katrina's fashion sense in a recent interview.

Ranbir had told, "Katrina is way ahead of people when it comes to fashion especially in India. She finds certain brands that nobody knows and she wears it 3 months before people get to know about it. That’s why maybe people don’t consider her (Katrina) like people consider Sonam Kapoor. I do believe there is some fashion icon somewhere inside her but she is very shy about it”.

Katrina had added to this, "Sonam is incredible with her sense of fashion. I don’t have that and I just wear what I like."

But, a close source reveals us that Sonam is offended with these remarks of Ranbir Kapoor. The source, who is a part of Sonam's BFF's team, told, "Though Sonam finds Katrina quite stylish, she feels Ranbir even trying to compare her and Katrina, is very silly and random. Sonam feels that she and Katrina are at completely different levels and that she has more knowledge in the fashion field than Katrina ever had. She does not feel that Katrina has been experimental at all with her style and looks."

The source further added, "She feels it is a promotional stint by Ranbir for Jagga Jasoos. She also believes that when Ranbir and her start promoting their Sanjay Dutt biopic together, Ranbir will change his tunes accordingly."

Katrina’s tu-tu main-main relationship with Ranbir!

Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif's equation has been under continuous media glare ever since they broke up in January 2016. The stars, who were in a stable relationship for almost six years, parted ways and since then have tried to not cross paths with each other.

When they broke up, a small chunk of shoot for Jagga Jasoos was remaining. But both Ranbir and Katrina didn't let their personal differences come in the way of their professional front. They finished the shoot of the film as per the decided schedule.

Later, there were also reports that Katrina and Ranbir won't come together for promotions. But the ex-couple slammed the reports and came together for the song launch of Galti Se Mistake. They also posed for the paparazzi and interacted with the media at the trailer launch of Jagga Jasoos earlier this week.

Fascinatingly, amid promotions, a video of both Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif went viral where the two were interacting with a journalist. In the video, it was apparent that Katrina wasn't happy with Ranbir's continuous interruptions and she tries to shut him down.

When Katrina was questioned about it, she said a tabloid, "Our personal equation is between us, people can analyse it as much as they want to. But they are never going to get it because I have always been a private person.”

She further adds, “What you get to see when we come in front of the media is the equation which we’ve had in our work space from the beginning. We pull each other’s leg, it is all fun and masti. This is not negative, it’s not bitter, we are not pulling each other down. This is our way of having fun. If I say in an interview, how obnoxious he is, and who would want to work with him, it’s a joke. Ranbir and I have always had this tu-tu main-main relationship at work — it keeps up the energy, the fun."

Ranbir and Katrina’s No to shoot Jagga Jasoos' special song!

After a lot of delays, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif are gearing up for their forthcoming film Jagga Jasoos to release. They will start promotions for the film in while. 

Ranbir and Katrina were supposed to shoot a special number for the film which would have been used for promotions but now as per a famous daily, that is not the case. The ex-couple's busy schedule has forced the team to do away with the song. While Ranbir is busy with the shooting of the Sanjay Dutt Biopic, Katrina is busy with the shooting of Tiger Zinda Hai. 

A unit source said the tabloid, "It was a last minute decision to shoot for the number, but now it is practically impossible. Besides the actors' packed diary, the makers are concerned that their physique has altered since they shot for the film. Ranbir Kapoor has bulked up to look like Dutt and Katrina Kaif has developed an athletic figure for Tiger Zinda Hai."

What's exciting is that the Sanjay Dutt biopic will be clashing with Tiger Zinda Hai at the box-office as both the movies are slated for a Christmas 2018 release. While the Dutt Biopic is being helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, Tiger Zinda Hai is being directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. 

Jagga Jasoos is scheduled to release on July 14, 2017, and will be clashing with Saif Ali Khan's Chef and Shraddha Kapoor's Haseena: Queen of Mumbai.

Anurag Basu's birthday unite ex-lovers!

Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif are all set to begin promotions of their forthcoming movie Jagga Jasoos. The ex-lovers wrapped the shoot of the Anurag Basu's directorial a few weeks back in the city.

Now, both Katrina and Ranbir celebrated Anurag's birthday on the sets of a promo shoot for the movie. The photo has started going viral on the social media as it's a surprise to see the separated couple in one frame after a long time.

In the photo, Katrina is seen wearing a red midi dress, whereas Ranbir is sporting checkered print shirt with ripped and patchwork jeans. He is seen holding the cake for Anurag, while the filmmaker looks on.

The twosome has been behaving professionally on the sets of Jagga Jasoos and was friendly to each other. In an earlier interview (2015), Anurag had told, "Having a real-life couple is not an advantage but it is rather a disadvantage. The actors know each other so well and you are lovers in real life, it gets difficult for them to bring their chemistry on the screen. So this is going to be very challenging."

Jagga Jasoos was firstly scheduled to release in the year 2014, however, it got delayed due to multiple reasons. And now after three years, the film is finally all set to hit the screens on July 14, 2017. The film will be clashing with Saif Ali Khan's Chef and Shraddha Kapoor's Haseena.

Now no love between Katrina and Ranbir for Jagga Jasoos!

Jagga Jasoos has been riddled with disputes from the get go. Not only does the film star ex-couple Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, the movie was initially supposed to release way back in 2014. It's 2017 now and the film is yet to see the broad daylight. 

There seemed to be a ray of sunshine when it was pronounced last year, that Jagga Jasoos will be releasing on April 7, 2017, but then came pictures of Ranbir and Katrina on the sets of the film as they shot for some scenes. 

News were widespread that one of Jagga Jasoos' poster features a lip-lock between Katrina and Ranbir which has left the actress upset with the director Anurag Basu. 

A source, but, dismissed the reports to us and told, "There is no Jagga Jasoos poster of the two leads in a lip-lock."

While we wait eagerly for the movie to release, we've got some more interesting tidbit about the movie's storyline that will leave you surprised!

An industry insider disclosed to us, "Katrina may not even be Ranbir's love interest in Jagga Jasoos."

Leggy lass Katrina Kaif has been juggling between the shoots of her two movies - Tiger Zinda Hai and Jagga Jasoos. Last night, she was clicked at Mumbai's Mehboob studios, while she was shooting for the much delayed Jagga Jasoos.

The film, which is directed by Anurag Basu and also stars her ex-flame Ranbir Kapoor, has been in the making for over three years now. Firstly, scheduled to release in 2014, the film still doesn't have a confirmed release date. While reports previously suggested that the film has been postponed to a release sometime in the second half of 2017, there was some buzz that hinted at its release in 2018.

Staying unaffected from all these rumours, the team of Jagga Jasoos has continued to shoot its remaining portions. The newest pictures from the sets of the movie suggest that the gorgeous actress plays a waitress in the movie. Dressed in a chequered monochrome dress with a white apron attached to it, Katrina Kaif was snapped while walking towards her vanity van. When she realized that the photogs were clicking her, she flashed her adorable smile.

In the meantime, apart from Jagga Jasoos, Katrina recently also wrapped up the first schedule of Tiger Zinda Hai in Austria. Seemingly, Katrina shot for a romantic song titled Dil Diya Gallan with ex-beau Salman Khan. Her first look with Khan literally broke the internet as the fans went crazy seeing their two favourite stars together after almost 5 years. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Tiger Zinda Hai is a sequel to 2012 blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger and is slated to release this December.

Katrina Kaif hints for delaying in Jagga Jasoos!

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif is all geared up for her forthcoming film Jagga Jasoos which will see the actor reunite with her ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor on screen. 

Jagga Jasoos has been a victim of many delays and controversies. The film finally got a release date of April 7, 2017 but from Katrina's latest Facebook post, things don't look too good for an April 7 release. 

Her caption reads, "Jagga continues. Outdoor shoot.... in this lovely weather."

Lately, even Ranbir who was busy with the Sanjay Dutt biopic was spotted on the sets of Jagga Jasoos for which he shot a few scenes. 

As we're nearing the release date, one can't help but wonder if the movie is going to be delayed again. The film is directed by Anurag Basu.

A sequel of Life In A...Metro reunites again Ranbir and Anurag Basu?

As we know, Ranbir and Anurag Basu are quite a team as was obvious with the huge success of their first movie Barfi. And the twosome is all set to recreate the same magic in their forthcoming film Jagga Jasoos. But, we now have an exciting update about this actor-director pair who is looking forward to work together on another endeavor but with a twist.

Anurag has lately pronounced that he will be working on the sequel of Life In A...Metro and guess who will get into the producer’s shoes this time? Remarkably, Ranbir has volunteered to be a producer for the sequel. Remarkably, this is the second time Ranbir will be donning a producer's hat. Previously, he had his engagement with production in Basu's Jagga Jasoos. 

Speaking about the same, Anurag told, “Ranbir is teaming up with me as a producer. Though I may want him to essay a pivotal role in the film, I don't know whether he would be interested. He will always have the first right of refusal."

And while it is still undecided if Kangana will make an appearance in this one, Irrfan is sure to make a comeback. Talking on it, the director disclosed, “Irrfan is committed to the sequel. We haven't worked together in years. In the last four-five years, we almost teamed up on two films, but they didn't work out. So this time, we're on.”

Katrina’s will not share Ranbir’s Vanity Van on Jagga Jasoos set!

We had informed earlier that lovebirds Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor have split, maybe due to Ranbir's closeness to former girlfriend Deepika Padukone during the promotions of Tamasha and it seems that this has affected their chemistry on the sets of Jagga Jasoos, in which they are romantically paired opposite each other.

Sources claim that lately when Katrina came on the sets of the movie for the shooting, she demanded a separate vanity van and that the two filmed a scene together without exchanging any words apart from what was written in the script. Katrina's request for a separate vanity van came as an astonishment to the unit members as the two have always shared the same van in the past. Kapoor, who had been living in with Kaif in Bandra, has also moved out of the flat, it seems.
