Saira Banu denies Pneumonia rumours of Dilip Kumar!

Veteran megastar Dilip Kumar’s health has always been a matter of concern for his admirers. Lately, it was being reported that the veteran actor has been diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia and is being treated at his residence. But, his wife, Saira Banu has disagreed to any such news and told that Dilip Kumar is suffering from regular fever.

In a media chat, Saira Banu told that “He is fine and is at home. Someone has started this rumour that he is having pneumonia, but there is no such thing. He is just having a regular cold and fever. He is at home and recovering.”

Dilip Kumar was rushed to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital in early October after he complained of a chest infection.

Big B and SRK unite for Badla!

Hindi Film Industry’s renowned Jodi Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan have worked together in various movies like Mohabbatein, Veer-Zaara, Paheli, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Bhootnath and some others.

As per a famous tabloid, SRK and Big B will reunite for Sujoy Ghosh's crime-thriller Badla that also stars Taapsee Pannu. But, SRK won't be acting in the movie. He is one of the producers of this Ghosh's next.

The director verified the news and disclosed to a tabloid, "When you get an actor like Amitabh Bachchan, half your battle is won as he’s every director’s delight and I’m extremely excited to direct him. Also, I have been trying to work with Taapsee for a while. This is the perfect story to collaborate with her on. My excitement is doubled now that the film is being produced by SRK. I couldn’t have asked for a better team and now it is time for work."

Sujoy Ghosh's crime thriller is an adaptation of the Spanish movie The Invisible Guest (2014).

He revealed that both SRK and Amitabh like the idea of the film. Sujoy discloses, "I thought it was superlative material for AB Sir and pitched it to him. Taapsee was already on board, SRK also loved the source material and the collaboration happened seamlessly."

When asked if SRK will make an appearance in the movie, Sujoy Ghosh replied, "SRK is the producer but like hell I am going to stop him from making an appearance."

Bollywood actor John Abraham is hectic with back to back movie releases. His last film Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran was a hit at the box office. The team lately celebrated the success and now John is all set to start promotions of his forthcoming film Satyameva Jayate, by Milap Zaveri.

Satyameva Jayate will be clashing with Akshay Kumar's Gold as both the movies are scheduled for an August 15, 2018 release. Unusually, both John and Akshay have shared the screen space in a number of movies including Garam Masala and Desi Boyz.

About the box office clash, John revealed to journalists at a press conference, "Akshay is an actor in Gold and I am an actor in Satyameva Jayate. So that (the release of films) is a producer decision, between Excel Entertainment and T Series. Akshay is my senior, I love him and have always wished the best for him. I am sure he will also want the same for me."

Salman launches own Salman Talkies theater chains!

Previously, Salman Khan had set in motion his dream project - 'Salman Talkies'. Salman Talkies would be a chain of theatres, where movie tickets will cost lesser compared to the other theatre chains. The tickets would be tax-free. Also, children from underprivileged backgrounds will get the tickets free of cost.

Salman told that the project is taking longer because there are a lot of changes and modifications made in the past two years, and also, that he needs to be very careful regarding what he is doing. He said that he needs to pay extra attention to even the minute details so that the venture is successful.

While speaking to a daily, Salman revealed, “I had a lot of plans for the theatre chain but it’s taking me longer because I need to be very careful. There are a lot of logistical details involved so that the project doesn’t shut down."

The 52-year-old actor also revealed that the theatres will not be in the upscale cities like Bandra or Juhu but on the outskirts of Mumbai.

Salman revealed his desire to inaugurate each theatre himself. He told, "There are so many things I want to do in the exhibitor and distributor space, and by turning distributor with Race 3, I have taken my first step in that direction. This chain adds another aspect to my portfolio.”

The actor-producer has recently turned distributor for his forthcoming movie Race 3. The movie was supposed to be distributed by Eros International but they had bailed out in the last minute. This is where Khan stepped in. He will also be distributing brother-in-law Aayush Sharma's forthcoming film Loveratri.

He revealed, "We were in talks with Eros for the longest time. Eventually, we reached a phase where the terms and conditions were not met, and the deal fell through. But something good came out of it. I am distributing Race 3 and will also distribute Aayush’s debut film."

Akshaye Khanna to become Sanjay Baru for The Accidental Prime Minister!

Filmmaker Vijay Ratnakar Gutte, for his directorial debut, The Accidental Prime Minister, has roped in Akshaye Khanna to essay the role of the former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh’s media advisor and chief spokesman, Sanjay Baru. Anupam Kher will be playing the role of Dr Manmohan Singh.

In a media chat with a daily, the director revealed, "I am thrilled and excited to be a part of a venture which will be path-breaking and a game-changer on many levels." Akshaye said, "Having a role in the film is secondary. I think it is an important movie and even if my role in it was insignificant, I would have still done it."

A famous trade analyst shared the first look and posted, "AkshayeKhanna’s look in Sunil Bohra‘s The Accidental Prime Minister, being directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte. Akshaye will play Sanjay Baru, media advisor and chief spokesperson of erstwhile prime minister ManmohanSingh (played by AnupamKher). Film will roll on March 31 in London."

Hansal Mehta, who is working on the screenpaly of the movie, tweeted on Twitter, "Exciting days ahead as Akshaye joins the crew. 'The Accidental Prime Minister' begins shooting on March 31 with a fantastic ensemble led by Anupam Kher and Akshaye Khanna."

The Accidental Prime Minister is being produced by Bohra Brothers and Rudra Productions. It is slated to release on 21 December 2018 and is based on the bestselling book of the same name.

Deepika Padukone’s physiotherapy soon for the neck pain!

Bollywood star Deepika Padukone won hearts as the warrior queen Padmavati in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Padmaavat.

During the shoot, Deepika acquired some worse pain in her neck which reappeared recently and the actor was seen with a bandage around her neck.

On the health issue, Deepika disclosed at a recent award show, "My back is good — I have received a lot of love and wishes. I am starting physiotherapy soon. There is nothing to worry about."

In the meantime, Deepika's co-star in Vishal Bhardwaj's next, Irrfan Khan has been suffering from a rare disease which has put his out of action for a few weeks.

Due to Irrfan's illness and Deepika's neck pain, the movie has been put on hold. The movie was supposed to go on floors in Nepal on March 5.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s romance with Aditi Rao Hydari instead of Kriti Sanon!

Lately, it was informed that Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be romancing Kriti Sanon in their next by Vishal Bhardwaj. When the news came out, it got people talking as it was set to be a never-seen-before pair.

Now, as per a tabloid, Kriti is no more a part of the project and has been replaced by Aditi Rao Hydari. This will be Aditi and Nawaz's first outing together. Speaking about it, a source said to the tabloid, "She is in advanced talks with the makers and is most likely to sign the dotted line soon."

The movie is set to go on floors soon. The movie will be a humorous genre, unlike Vishal's previous movies which were intense dramas.

In the meantime, Nawaz will be teaming up with his The Lunchbox director Ritesh Batra for his next directorial opposite Dangal actress Sanya Malhotra. Speaking about the project, Nawaz specified to a tabloid, "Sanya has a terrific role in Ritesh’s film. I can’t reveal much about the film except that we will be seen doing a completely different take on Mumbai as compared with Ritesh’s previous outing, The Lunchbox. We start shooting in Mumbai from October 4."

Juhi Chawla reveals about her next film!

Bollywood star Juhi Chawla, last seen on the screen in "Chalk n Duster", reveals her next movie is an emotional and sweet family entertainer.

"I will start shooting for a film in December. It's a very interesting and beautiful script. I can't divulge much details about it as of now because the production house of that film will make official announcement about it. But it's going to be a lovely film and I can guarantee this to my audience," Juhi revealed the media source here.

"This film has emotions and sweetness. It's a family entertainer, yet it's such a different subject. The film has a really good star cast as well, but people have to wait for an official announcement of the film from producers," she further added.

Apart from "Chalk n Duster", which released last year, Juhi also played a part in the web series "The Test Case". 

I don't feel my age at all, reveals Lata Mangeshkar on 88th birthday!

Well-known Indian singer Lata Mangeshkar, who turned 88 on Thursday, reveals age doesn't dampen her spirit and that she has always lived with a hope for a better tomorrow.

"Bahuthogaya... Aapko kaisa lagta hai... Aap gaati kyun nahin hain... Aapke favourite naye singers kaunhai... Aap apni behen (Asha Bhosle) se kyun nahin milti... Arrey bhai, sab ho chuka hai. Let's talk about the fun times," she suggested as though she were 18 rather than 88.

With a girlish cackle, Mangeshkar revealed, "Should I tell you the truth? I don't feel my age at all. I still feel young. I've never been weighed down by my troubles. Everyone has her share of problems in life. Even when I was young and struggling, and I was happy hopping from studio to studio bumping into other strugglers like Kishoreda and Mukeshbhaiyya. Those were fun times even when I had to go hungry for the entire day. There was no money in my purse. But there was only hope in my heart. And the belief that no matter how tough the future looked there was always hope for a better tomorrow."

When asked about her birthday thoughts, she revealed, "I can't thank the listeners enough for bearing with me for 70 years. I didn't even how the time flew by. Waqt kaise nikal gaya pataa hi nahin chala (I don't know how time flew by). If I had a chance to live it all again I wouldn't change a thing. Not even that fall from the stool while singing with Uma Devi," she quipped.

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan tells he is happy that his TV show "Kaun Banega Crorepati" (KBC) is giving a platform to real life heroes "to come forward and talk about their initiatives and seek more participation from viewers across the country".

Lawyer and activist Afroz Shah will be on the hot seat for a special episode ‘Nai Chah Nai Rah' to raise awareness and pledge support to the cleanliness drive at Juhu and Versova beaches. The episode will air on Friday on Sony Entertainment Television.

"This year, KBC is inviting many unsung real life champions who have helped or contributed towards betterment of our society. The show becomes a national platform all those heroes to come forward to talk about their initiative and seek more participation from viewers across the country to help them achieve their ambition," Amitabh told in a statement.

"Afroz's work is exemplary and we as a team thought of extending support in our own way. Next time you find Juhu beach unusually clean, please thank Afroz and his team for their cleanliness drive. I would urge everyone in the country to help Afroz clean one beach at a time," he further added.

Afroz intends to clean up 19 beaches across the city. Amitabh, along with the show's team, gave Afroz two tractors and an excavator.

Speaking about it, Afroz told, "My heart goes out and I have a deep sense of gratitude, respect love for what the team has done for me."

Experienced writer Javed Akhtar, who will be back on the small screen with the fourth edition of "Classic Legends", tells the contribution of icons like Balraj Sahni, Asha Parekh, Rajendra Kumar and Laxmikant-Pyarelal in Hindi cinema's glory must not be forgotten.

Now BCCI’s recommendation of Padma Bhushan Award for M.S. Dhoni!

Now, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been nominated for the Padma Bhushan Award. Mahendra Singh Dhoni who has already been conferred with Arjuna, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna and the Padma Shri award has been unanimously recommended by the members of the BCCI.

Cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been nominated by the BCCI for the Padma Bhushan award. It was a unanimous decision by the members. He has been one of the greatest names in contemporary cricket and the most appropriate choice of the Indian cricket board," BCCI acting president CK Khanna told a news agency.

“He is one of our greatest ODI cricketer with nearly 10,000 runs in ODIs. Not many players have played 90 Test matches. There is no one better than him, who could have been nominated," Khanna told a news agency.

If M.S. Dhoni is awarded the prestigious Padma Bhushan, he will be the 11th Indian cricketer to receive the third highest civilian honour. Dhoni is the only Indian captain in the history who has successfully captained the Indian cricket team and won two world cup titles; 2011 International World Cup and 2007 World T20 World Cup.

M.S. Dhoni is known as the captain with the cool head. He has more than 10,000 runs from 380 matches that he has played in One Day Internationals and T20s. M.S. Dhoni has also scored approximately 5000 runs by playing 90 International Cricket Test matches.

Jhanvi will be loved by all like her mother, reveals Boney Kapoor!

Filmmaker Boney Kapoor tells that his daughter Jhanvi will be loved by all like her mother Sridevi.

Boney attended Synergy, an event organised by Hema Malini recently, where he was asked about his daughter Jhanvi's debut and he told, "As a father, I would wish her the best. She is very hardworking and focused. I am sure like her mother she will be loved by all and I would seek everybody's love for her."

"I hope she comes up to everybody's expectations and when the time will come, all people will know it automatically," he further added.

Talking about the success of his last movie "Mom", Boney said that more than successful, it is a satisfying film.

"When a filmmaker tries to make a good film and if he gets success in that then definitely it's a nice feeling. With the release of 'Mom', we launched new director, writer and few actors as well," told Boney.

"More than that, I worked with my wife (Sridevi) in this film and people appreciated her work a lot. She did great job in it and that's why we showcased this film at the international platform as well. We received really great response for the film. I feel 'Mom' is not just a successful film but a satisfying one," he further added.

Producer Priyanka Chopra’s debut in south film industry!

Priyanka Chopra’s debut production is getting the South Indian treatment.

PeeCee’s Marathi movie Ventilator is being remade in Malayalam, and her mother Madhu is personally overseeing work on the dramedy. Like the original film, this one will also focus on a joint family whose head goes into a coma a few days before an auspicious festival, and it’ll show how everyone copes with the event differently. Madhu is currently finalising the remakes cast and director, and I’m sure she’ll put a good team together.

Prasoon Joshi wants to know about CBFC before big changes!

With Pahlaj Nihalani's ouster as the CBFC Chief, all hopes are now on Prasoon Joshi, who is an applauded lyricist, screenplay writer and poet, who has been given the baton to lead the CBFC.

The lyricist, who was also the face behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Accha Din campaign and who opposed censorship once, is hopeful that he would be able to make a positive difference in the industry.

Talking to a famous news agency, the lyricist told, "I believe in taking on responsibilities. The way I have fulfilled other responsibilities, I will give my best to this new task as well. I am happy that people have expectations from me and I deeply respect the film industry."

He further added, "I first need to understand the role and responsibility. I do understand it in a short form but I need to know completely what the processes are specially. With good intent, I would like to make as much difference as I can."

Also on the board list is Bollywood actor Vidya Balan. When requested to comment on this, Joshi told, "All the good people who join will make a difference. I think it has to be done together and there has to be some sort of understanding which has to brought in this is a job, it needs to be done and we need to look at it constructively. That's what I would do. I would do it to the best of my abilities."

Anupam Kher to join digital world!

Anupam Kher has joined the mass exodus of actors who are headed for the digital space.

The veteran actor is producing and starring in a web series about the India-Pakistan War of 1971. Anupam’s keeping details of the project close to his chest, but I can reveal that he’s hired one Canadian and one Indian writer to work on the research and script together. The story for the untitled series will be based on actual events that took place during the war, so prepare to learn some history while being entertained!

I like Tiger Shroff a lot; lucky that I got a friend in him, reveals Nidhhi Agerwal!

Nidhhi Agerwal is a cute, chirpy and full of life and she is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Sabbir Khan's Munna Michael. Just two days are left for the film to hit the screens and well, it's her first movie, she is looking forward for the reaction by the viewers. In her own words, "I am nervous and excited at the same time. I hope people like me and our film. I have my fingers crossed as we all have worked very hard for it."

Given that she doesn't belong from a filmy background, what made her decide that she wants to pursue acting? To this, she said, "I am a simple girl from Bangalore. As I didn't belong from a filmy background, I didn't know how to become an actor. I started doing modeling and continued for good three to four months and then I started getting Kannada movies. Then I realized that I really want to try getting into acting. A lot of people started saying that have 'I have a Bollywood face'."

She has been paired opposite Tiger Shroff. Sharing the experience of working with Tiger, she specified, "Working with Tiger Shroff has been an amazing experience as he is very polite and always very supportive. We always had that positive energy on the sets. He used to help me with everything and I think he understood that it's my first movie and always made me feel comfortable. It has also been a teaching experience."

Speaking of speculations, we asked about the rumors of her dating Tiger Shroff. Addressing it, she revealed, "These were just speculations. I do like Tiger a lot for the fact that he has a golden heart and I am lucky in a way that I got a friend in him. I knew no one in Mumbai and he is the first one I got to know in the city. I am grateful to him for helping me that much as it's my first film. Tiger and I were made to sign a no-dating clause and then also the rumours came up."

About Tiger, we all know that he has a mastery when it comes to dancing. Was it tough for Nidhhi to match with Tiger? "A lot of people don't know that I am a trained Belly dancer but Tiger is on some other level. No one can replace him when it's about dancing. He is perfect at it. It was tough, but I tried matching up to him," said the young actress.

The film also stars the powerhouse of talent - Nawazuddin Siddiqui. How was it working with him? She said, "Nawaz sir is extremely hardworking and taught me how to relax on days when I was a little nervous. He used to come and just do his work. It was really nice working with Nawaz sir."

At the end, we asked her who is on her wish list after Tiger and well, then the answer is Ranbir Kapoor. "Ranbir Kapoor is my favourite actor. His eyes are so intense and that does a lot of talking. He is an amazing actor and I would want to work with him. His acting methods are different and he puts in a lot of effort in his movies and it's quite visible," Nidhhi told and ended conversation.
