Manikarnika’s Producer Kamal Jain supports good budget for a female oriented film!

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut essays the role of Rani Laxmibai in the movie. The teaser is already out and enthusiasts are keen to see Kangana play this role. The actor is leaving no stone unturned for the film and had been fighting all the hurdles that were coming her way while filming this magnum opus. After all the problems, the movie will finally see the daylight on January 25. Going by the posters and the teaser, Kangana looks fierce and her acting skills are superb.

The film has been made on a high budget and unlike all the high budget films, a female actor is the lead star. Producer Kamal Jain was questioned why he invested such a huge amount in this movie. Replying this, he revealed to a daily, “It is a period film, so there was no scope of cutting corners. We invested in every department judiciously. Kangana was always keen to do a film based on Rani Laxmibai, so when we approached her, she lapped it up. There has been a positive change in the industry. Movies with actresses in focus have done big numbers. We are hoping to take that change to the next step. Why should a female-oriented film need to compromise on budget? Also, Kangana's star power is unquestionable."
