Varun Dhawan’s Kalank shoot with 500 backup dancers!

Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan will be uniting on-screen with Alia Bhatt for the fourth time in Kalank. The film, which is a period drama is being directed by Abhishek Varman and co-produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Sajid Nadiadwala's Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.

Varun and Alia are joined by a big star cast including another on-screen reunion of Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit along with Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur in pivotal roles.

Varun has already begun shoot for Kalank which started with an introductory song along with Kiara Advani. As per to a daily, the song was choreographed by Remo D'Souza and Varun was joined by 500 backup dancers who grooved with the actor to the track composed by Pritam.

A source from the sets of the film disclosed to the daily, "Varun began his rehearsals with Remo’s team four days before shoot and Kiara joined him on the last two days. In between shots, the actor would catch up on his workouts in a gym specially built on set."

Kalank, which is set in the 1940's with the backdrop of the Partition is scheduled to release on April 19, 2019.
