Richa Chadha, an actress from Bollywood, is well-known. The actress had her festival debut in 2012 with the movie Gangs of Wasseypur, and she is currently enjoying the success of her most recent feature, Heeramandi. She walked the red carpet again for Masaan and Sarbjit. It's interesting to note that this year's event will also mark the premiere of Richa and her husband Ali Fazal's first produced film, Girls Will Be Girls.
People remark how varied the
roster is in terms of attire, despite the fact that it's a film festival. In
2024, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are all
expected to attend the Cannes Film Festival. In the meantime, Richa Chadha
disclosed in a recent interview which two of her past Cannes looks she considered
to be the greatest.
In a media interview, Richa Chadha lauded Mallika Sherawat and Nandita Das's
appearances at the prestigious film festival. The actress appreciated how the
Zwigato director wore a saree simply and complimented Mallika for using
"her full body and fitness."
She disclosed, “I think Nandita Das, who got invited to be on the jury for Cannes several years ago, held her own in a simple saree,” further adding, “There was a lot of critique and ridicule for Mallika Sherawat at that time but if you look back those pictures from 15 years ago, she looked great! She knew what she was projecting. She knew how to make use of her full body and fitness. She created her own persona.”
According to Richa, the fashion
industry is "very, very classist" and can be described as a
"independent actress." The actress doesn't allow the fact that she
doesn't follow trends to affect her perception by others.
The Heeramandi actor used her own experience to highlight the
"classist" nature of the film business. She recalled how she was
initially turned down for designs by high-end designers and that Masaan's
promotions were what allowed her to hire a stylist.
Richa received a lot of praise for her performance in Heeramandi on Netflix.
