Pawan Kalyan's sports flick Thammudu re-releases on completing 25 years!

With the success of his most recent series, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, Jason Shah has been gratified. The actor talked about his collaboration with Aamir Khan on the movie Thugs of Hindostan in the middle of all the accolades.

Jason gave Aamir a lot of praise and showed him a video that truly convinced him of his nickname, Mr. Perfectionist.

Jason Shah took a journey down memory lane to his days of filming Thugs of Hindostan with Aamir Khan during a recent media chat. He remembered taking the movie even though the part was not particularly "meaty," just so he could collaborate with Mr. Perfectionist.

Jason posted, “It was a fantastic experience for me because I got to sit opposite him all day long. This is Aamir Khan, not just another actor you meet.”

In keeping with his compliments for Aamir, Jason added, “It was wonderful to see him so immersed in his character. I don’t think I was in his space. He was just miles away from everyone. And his perfectionist side… I remember this one shot: I was looking through an eyeglass and he kept asking the director for one more retake. Even though the director said, ‘I think we got the shot,’ he kept asking for ‘one more’. Aamir being Aamir."

2018 saw the release of Thugs of Hindostan, which Vijay Krishna Acharya directed.

 

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in London with Extra Support Acts!

Taylor Swift will add more support artists to her London dates of her Eras Tour. The musical sensation will play eight gigs at Wembley Stadium this summer. According to Billboard, the first three performances are set for June 21–23, and the next five are set for August 15–17 and August 19–20.

Swift revealed on Sunday, May 27, on Instagram that Paramore will have three more bands opening for them during the June dates. Benson Boone (June 23), Griff (June 22), and Mette (June 21) are some of these musicians. Swift declared her delight, adding, “I chose artists whose music I love listening to, and I can’t wait for them to add an extra jolt of excitement to our shows at Wembley Stadium in June.”

The three artists shared their enthusiasm over the news on social media. On June 22, Griff, who is performing, posted on X (previously Twitter), “TAYLOR SWIFT HAS INVITED ME ON THE ERAS TOUR!!!!!! 8 yr old me who had fearless on repeat wouldn’t believe this. So unbelievably grateful to Taylor for all the love she’s shown me and my music. See you at Wembley on June 22nd.”

Mette, who debuts on June 21, showed her enthusiasm on X by saying, “It’s a new ERA for ya girl… Opening the ‘Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour’ on June 21st at Wembley Stadium in London. Thank you @taylorswift13 – Never been so excited in my entire life!!! #TSTheErasTour.”

On his Instagram Story, Benson Boone, who will open the show on June 23, repeated Swift's news. He penned, “@taylorswift so excited to be a part of the show thank you for having me,” with a teary face and red heart emojis.

Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat’s loveable avatar in Maharaj’s first look poster!

Everyone has their eyes on the ambitious drama Maharaj, a Yash Raj Film production, which marks Junaid Khan, Aamir Khan's son's big Bollywood debut. The first look poster has been released by the makers along with an official notification, confirming the same.

The debut film of Aamir Khan's son Junaid, Maharaj, will be available on Netflix starting on June 16, 2024, according to a report. Today, May 29, the streaming service released the first look poster for the movie, which stars Junaid Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat, on its social media accounts.

“The fight for the truth between a powerful man and a fearless journalist. Based on true events - Maharaj is releasing on 14 June, only on Netflix!,” read the post's caption in addition to it. Needless to say, neither performer in the historical play looks like the same person.

Standing in front of his opulent palace, Jaideep assumes the persona of a king. In contrast, Junaid has a newspaper with the words "Supreme Court Of Bombay" displayed in the background. The poster's subject makes it quite evident that the two will be seen fighting in the movie.

Fans flocked the comments section as soon as the image was uploaded, expressing their excitement for Junaid's debut and the movie. One user remarked, "Everything about Junaid is love." The historical period drama, directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra and supported by Aditya Chopra, is set against the backdrop of the 1862 Maharaja Libel Case. Notably, a person familiar with the project informed us that the Maharaj trailer is scheduled to debut on June 5 and that there will be a 9-day wait until the film's official release. “Being an OTT release, Netflix has strategically devised a short pre-release campaign. The major push will come post the release when the content does the talking and creates more points for conversation,” the source told.

 

Annu Kapoor asks for police protection amid Hamare Baarah hullabaloo!

There was a lot of discussion following the publication of the teaser for Kamal Chandra's film Hamare Baarah, which stars Annu Kapoor, Manoj Joshi, and Paritosh Tripathi. The film examines the pressing issues of population growth and women's struggles, and it is set in Uttar Pradesh. Even though the movie aims to bring attention to a significant social issue, the crew has been threatened with dire consequences. After receiving death threats, Annu Kapoor has now turned to social media to request police protection.

He revealed, “The film advocates women empowerment and talks about the rights of women. First, watch the film and then give your verdict. People have the freedom to speak their minds on social media but they should not abuse. Don’t abuse or give death threats. We will not be scared by these things.”

“We made an issue-based film solely to talk about women empowerment. It talks about the issue of growing population and our intention is not to hurt the sentiments of any caste or community,” the actor further told.

Humare Baarah was created by Birender Bhagat, assistant producer Kamal Chandra, assistant producer Ravi S. Gupta, Sanjay Nagpal, Sheo Balak Singh, Triloki Nath Prasad, and director. The plot was written by Rajan Agarwal. The Central Board of Film Certification, or CBFC, later changed the title from Hum Do Hamare Baarah.

Ashwini Kalsekar, Rahul Bagga, Manoj Joshi, Paritosh Tiwari, Aditi Bhatpahri, a recent arrival, and others have significant roles. The scheduled release date of Hamare Baarah is June 7.
