Pure singers are here to stay and nobody can ever replace them, says Ayushmann Khurrana!

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana is not just a gifted actor but also an intense singer. The actor is presently busy promoting his forthcoming film Meri Pyaari Bindu which also stars Parineeti Chopra.

Lately, a Twitter fight between Sonakshi Sinha and Armaan Malik had spearheaded a new singer vs actors debate. This had all started when Kailash Kher had expressed dissent over reports of Sonakshi performing at the Canadian singer Justin Beiber's concert in Mumbai.

Remarking on the debate, Ayushmann, while speaking to a famous news agency told, "It's great that actors are venturing out and trying their hand at singing. It's lending your own voice to the characters on screen like it happens in the west. Why not?"

But, he further added, "But at the same time, I would love to reiterate that singers... Pure singers are here to stay and nobody can ever replace them."

Without naming anybody, Ayushmann reiterated that it's okay for an actor to sing for his characters on screen. "If you are singing for yourself and for your character on screen... because most of the actors are not doing stage acting for any other actor... they are doing it for themselves, and that's allowed," Ayushmaann told.

Fascinatingly, Parineeti who will be seen romancing Ayushmann in MPB, also made her singing debut with her song Maana Ki Hum Yaar Nahin. The song was well received by all.

Film Meri Pyaari Bindu is all set to hit theatres on May 12, 2017.
