Aravind, Namit Malhotra and Madhu Mantena are teaming up to bring the Ramayana
to life.
The
trilingual Hindi-Telugu-Tamil epic is being billed as India's most ambitious
project yet at an estimated budget of $80 million,
and people in the know say that Ram Madhvani of Neerja fame has been selected to direct the 3D
project. Ramayana
will be released as a three-part series and the plan is to shoot all three
chapters at once, a la The Lord of the Rings. Here’s hoping the ambitious film
lives up to the hype.
