Synopsis:
A successful writer, Abhimanyu Roy who is stuck with a writers block returns to his roots to write an old-fashioned love story. The writers block is called Bindu who is the love of his life but he has lost contact with her. In his house, Abhimanyu stumbles across an old audio cassette of their favorite playlist, it sends him down memory lane - and as he waltzes in and out of his past and present through the songs in the mixed tape, he finally faces reality and reconnects with his roots, with his family and his novel starts writing itself.

Fed up with the lack of critical appreciation despite being a successful writer, Abhimanyu Roy (Ayushmann Khurrana) returns to his roots in Kolkata to write more meaningful literature and decides on an old-fashioned love story - which was now, 3 years in the making. This writer's block is called Bindu (Parineeti Chopra). How do you contain this unpredictable, crazy, restless, larger than life, live wire in the pages of a book? As Abhi says ''You know when a song comes on and you just have to dance? Bindu was that song. That silly infectious joyful tune you couldn't get out of your head - even if you wanted to." So where should he begin? Where should he end? But when Abhi stumbles across an old audio cassette of their favorite playlist, it sends Abhi down memory lane - and as he waltzes in and out of his past and present through the songs in the mixed tape, he finally faces reality and reconnects with his roots, with his family and his novel starts writing itself. Of course, life in its usual scheming manner surprises him yet again and changes the ending of his book and his life, as he once again finds himself being pulled back into the center of that crazy little thing called love. He realizes, that love, is neither time- nor place-dependent. - All we need is the right person next to us and of course the right soundtrack.

Parineeti Chopra feels blessed to get great roles in films!

Actress Parineeti Chopra feels fortunate that she has always landed "great roles" in Bollywood, as well as a chance to sing because music is her "soul".

"I started with 'Ladies vs Ricky Bahl' for which I won awards. Then I did 'Ishaqzaade' for which I won a National Award. I have always done roles which were amazing. By the grace of God, I have always got great roles," Parineeti said.

Parineeti, who has received enthusiastic reviews for her debut single "Maana ke hum yaar nahin" from the upcoming movie "Meri Pyaari Bindu", tells singing is the most important thing in her life.

"Any person who knows me knows that singing is the most important thing in my life. Music is really my soul. That's why 'Meri Pyaari Bindu' is a special film for me as I wanted my first song to be done well. I wanted it to be a hit. That's exactly what has happened. It's a beautiful track. Everybody loves it. People talk about it wherever I go. I am very happy about it now," she further added.

Parineeti, also known for her roles in movies like "Hasee toh Phasee", is returning to the silver screen with "Meri Pyaari Bindu" after almost two years.

"I just took a break for nine months in 2015 and that was because I was making my house and working on my fitness. After nine months, I signed 'Meri Pyaari Bindu' and started shooting it. So, by the time you finish shooting and the film releases, it takes one more year," Parineeti told.

"I was getting a lot of work, but I just wanted to look better and feel better. I had to concentrate on my health, which I had neglected. Also, I wanted to make my house and give my heart and soul to it," she added.

On choosing "Meri Pyaari Bindu", the 28-year-old told, "It was really one of the sweetest films that I read. The moment I read the script I felt this was the character that I wanted to play. The film is full of nostalgia. It has a lot of old songs which are associated with various chapters in our lives. That's something that I relate to even in my real life because I have songs for every event and person in my life. I connected a lot to the film, so I thought I should be a part of it."

Speaking about her and Ayushmann Khurrana's chemistry in the movie, Parineeti told, "Our chemistry is beautiful because of the real-life bond that we share. He is one of my closest friends right now. I have connected and bonded a lot with him off screen. Also, there is a lot of comfort with him. He is a very easy co-star and not a very demanding or difficult one. He is a very simple and honest guy. We both used to sing a lot on the set as we both have been born with a lot of musical influence. The shooting of the film has been very organic and beautiful for me."

In the meantime, Parineeti is also not worried about the clash between "Meri Pyaari Bindu" and Amitabh Bachchan starrer "Sarkar 3" at the box office on Friday.

"If the film is good, it will connect with the audience. A film becomes a hit when people love and enjoy it. If people will like 'Meri Pyaari Bindu', it will be a hit," she ended conversation.

Pure singers are here to stay and nobody can ever replace them, says Ayushmann Khurrana!

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana is not just a gifted actor but also an intense singer. The actor is presently busy promoting his forthcoming film Meri Pyaari Bindu which also stars Parineeti Chopra.

Lately, a Twitter fight between Sonakshi Sinha and Armaan Malik had spearheaded a new singer vs actors debate. This had all started when Kailash Kher had expressed dissent over reports of Sonakshi performing at the Canadian singer Justin Beiber's concert in Mumbai.

Remarking on the debate, Ayushmann, while speaking to a famous news agency told, "It's great that actors are venturing out and trying their hand at singing. It's lending your own voice to the characters on screen like it happens in the west. Why not?"

But, he further added, "But at the same time, I would love to reiterate that singers... Pure singers are here to stay and nobody can ever replace them."

Without naming anybody, Ayushmann reiterated that it's okay for an actor to sing for his characters on screen. "If you are singing for yourself and for your character on screen... because most of the actors are not doing stage acting for any other actor... they are doing it for themselves, and that's allowed," Ayushmaann told.

Fascinatingly, Parineeti who will be seen romancing Ayushmann in MPB, also made her singing debut with her song Maana Ki Hum Yaar Nahin. The song was well received by all.

Film Meri Pyaari Bindu is all set to hit theatres on May 12, 2017.

We got our hands on a still from Chapter 2 of Pari and Ayushmann. In the photo, Ayushmann looks innocent in an orange school tee with black track pants while Parineeti looks like a patakha to not mess with in a white full-sleeved crop top, green jacket and acid-wash torn jeans.

I would like to share everything, but not love life, reveals Parineeti Chopra!

Tinsel Town celebs are opening up to the world about matters like facing depression and body embarrassing. While actress Parineeti Chopra tells she is at ease about sharing other aspects about her life in public, her love life is not for all to know.

"Just about my love life, I would like to be private, because there is so much scrutiny in there. There are so many people in the world who are looking at you and judging you. I just don't want that between me and my partner. And as respect to my partner, I shouldn't be talking about it," Parineeti revealed a close source.

The 27-year-old actress tells that, as an actor, her life is open for everybody to be involved in.

"But other things. Because my life is out there in the open for everybody to be involved in, so I would like to share everything that's going on in my life and I'm happy to do that," she told.

Questioned about her view on actors opening up about themselves in public, Parineeti told, "It's great! To each his or her own. Some people are private, some people are comfortable talking.
Obviously, as actors, whatever is happening in our life the whole world gets to know because it is reported by the media. You can choose what information to put out there and what not to."

"Right now I'm in a good place and happy with where I am, happy with the things that are happening. So, yeah, it's been really good," she added.

She told about dull moments do affect her individually. "What's happening in my personal life or what's happening to me emotionally really affects the tone of the day. As I am growing up and becoming mature, I am learning," she added.

The National Award winner describes herself as a "positive and an energetic personality". "But when something is bothering me deep down, it's tough to fight that," she further added.
