Hindi Medium starring Irrfan Khan and Pakistani actor Saba
Qamar has emerged to be a hit at the box office as the film minted around INR
40 crore in its two weeks of the successful run.
Directed by Saket Chaudhary, the movie shows the struggle of
a Delhi-based small time businessman and his wife who finds it difficult to get
their daughter enrolled in a high-end school. Thanks to the positive word of
mouth, the film that opened on a low note has been able to garner much
appreciation.
Now, as per to a famous tabloid, the film has been declared
tax free in Madhya Pradesh. “I am overwhelmed that the government of Madhya Pradesh
and the Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has helped us make the movie
tax free in Madhya Pradesh…,” told producer Bhushan Kumar in a statement.
“This is great news…The more people watch it the more the
importance of speaking our national language, Hindi gets highlighted and comes
into realisation,” told the co-producer Dinesh Vijan.
Previously, speaking about Irrfan, director Saket Chaudhary
in an interview with Pinkvilla had said, "It's an amazing experience
because with an actor who is so good and experienced you sort of need to
understand how you need to behave because it is not about simply giving
instructions. Irrfan is too good and experienced enough for that. He is one of
the actors who is constantly preserving energy, he is an observer and till you
say action you really don't know what he is going to bring to the screen."
