As we know, Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao had been shooting for their first movie together, RoohiAfza. The movie is a horror comedy in which Janhvi will be seen in a double role. While the movie shoot began a while ago, the stars of the movie went from shooting in Manali to Roorkee to a village near Agra.

Recently, Janhvi and Rajkummar wrapped up one of the shooting schedules of the movie in Agra and post that, they celebrated over dinner with their team. Janhvi to reveal about mom Sridevi’s hesitation for her acting career!

Janhvi Kapoor is doing her Bollywood debut with Dhadak. She stars with Ishaan Khatter in the film that is the remake of the Marathi superhit film, Sairat. The movie is scheduled to hit the theatres on July 20, 2018.

Presently, Janhvi gave her first ever interview to Karan Johar for Vogue. She disclosed that her mother Sridevi never wanted her to become an actor. She revealed, “She never wanted me to be an actress. She was more relaxed about Khushi getting into films. She thought I was naïve, that I wasn’t thick-skinned enough. She wanted us to live a more relaxed life. She loved what she did but you know it was intense.”

She also recalled Sridevi’s reaction when she dropped her to Los Angeles for her acting course. “She said, “Phool ko kichad mein chhod kar chali ja rahi hu main!” (“I’m leaving my little flower in the muck”). In the wild, wild west. I think it’s cool to be naïve. It takes a certain amount of courage to not be pessimistic. I’d like to believe there is good in everyone,” Janhvi revealed.

Recently, Janhvi Kapoor did her first official magazine photoshoot for Vogue's June edition.

For the magazine, Janhvi gave an interview to Karan Johar where she opened up about her mother Sridevi and her favourite actors.

About her favourite Bollywood actors, Janhvi disclosed that she likes Rajkummar Rao, Dhanush and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Janhvi revealed, "They’re so good! I’m attracted to someone who can immerse me, and all these actors are so expressive."

She specified that she used to remark on Rajkummar's photographs so that he notices her. "I’m not sure if I should say this, but after watching Bareilly Ki Barfi, I really wanted Rajkummar Rao to notice me, so I commented on all his photos. He’s the only person I’ve asked for a photo with."

Late Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor will be making her debut this year with Shashank Khaitan's Dhadak. Recently, Janhvi did her first official magazine shoot with Vogue and talked about her mother Sridevi in the interview.

As stated by a daily, in the tabloid interview with Karan Johar, Janhvi Kapoor spoke about the void Sridevi has left in her life. "Of course. I could always be the baby with her. When I’d wake up, the first thing I’d do was ask for her. I’d need her to put me to sleep sometimes and she literally had to feed me. The day before she left for the wedding, I had to shoot, but I couldn’t sleep, so I was like, “I need you to come and put me to sleep.” But she was packing, so by the time she came to me I was half asleep. But I could feel her patting my head."

When questioned if she is more paternal to her younger sister Khushi, Janhvi told, "I’ve always been very bad at that. Khushi is very maternal with me. I am a full baby. She takes care of me. Now she comes and puts me to sleep sometimes."

She must cultivate her craft herself: Sridevi on daughter Jhanvi's debut!

Bollywood diva Sridevi's elder daughter Jhanvi Kapoor will soon be embarking on her Bollywood journey.

The soon-to-be actress will be making her debut opposite Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khatter in the Hindi remake of the Marathi film Sairat. Tentatively titled Dhadak, the film will be produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The twosome will start shooting in Rajasthan in the first week of December.

Jhanvi is going all out to make her Bollywood debut memorable and is hitting the gym as well as going for dance practices.

When a famous daily spoke to Sridevi about Jhanvi's debut, the veteran actress disclosed that as a mother, she "can’t help but give her tips about everything — from how to dress, to what to eat."

"I don’t want to advise her. She must cultivate her craft herself, make her own choices," Sridevi stated though when it comes to Jhanvi carving a niche in Bollywood. 

Is Dhadak the title of Jhanvi-Ishaan's debut movie?

There is a lot of gossips around Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Jhanvi Kapoor’s debut movie. She will be debuting with Shahid Kapoor’s half-brother Ishaan Khatter in the remake of Marathi super-hit movie, Sairat. Karan Johar will seemingly be producing the movie and as per latest reports the movie will be going on floors in the first week of December.

Jhanvi has been spotted with Ishaan at numerous occasions. She has also been training for the movie. Their debut movie will be directed by Shashank Khaitan and has seemingly been titled DHADAK.

The makers will be setting this movie against the backdrop of caste politics and honor killings in Haryana. The original movie was set in Maharastra and had won many awards. It is being stated that Sairat’s music directors Ajay-Atul have been roped in for the remake too.

About daughter Jhanvi’s debut film, Boney Kapoor had previously said to a tabloid, “Yes, Karan has been talking to us about a film for Jhanvi and we've given consent. But we don't know which project it would be. Since Karan has recently acquired the remake rights of Sairat it is being presumed that our daughter would be launched in this project.”

Filmmaker Boney Kapoor tells that his daughter Jhanvi will be loved by all like her mother Sridevi.

Boney attended Synergy, an event organised by Hema Malini recently, where he was asked about his daughter Jhanvi's debut and he told, "As a father, I would wish her the best. She is very hardworking and focused. I am sure like her mother she will be loved by all and I would seek everybody's love for her."

"I hope she comes up to everybody's expectations and when the time will come, all people will know it automatically," he further added.

Talking about the success of his last movie "Mom", Boney said that more than successful, it is a satisfying film.

"When a filmmaker tries to make a good film and if he gets success in that then definitely it's a nice feeling. With the release of 'Mom', we launched new director, writer and few actors as well," told Boney.

"More than that, I worked with my wife (Sridevi) in this film and people appreciated her work a lot. She did great job in it and that's why we showcased this film at the international platform as well. We received really great response for the film. I feel 'Mom' is not just a successful film but a satisfying one," he further added.

During the promotions, we sat down for a 5-minute chat with the timeless beauty and spoke about her daughter Jhanvi Kapoor who is all set to make her Bollywood debut very soon.

When we questioned Sridevi, if she was nervous for her daughter as she will be embarking on a new journey, the actress told, "Yeh har maa ke andar hoti hai. When any child is going to start a new career, you are nervous and you are excited. So it is basically all kinds of feelings put together and I'm feeling the same."

Sridevi, even today is considered as a fashion icon and many consider her to be their fashion inspiration. But do her daughters Jhanvi and Khushi seek fashion advice from their famous mom? Sridevi disclosed, "Well, I take inspiration from them. They guide me and I enjoy that. They are...Aaj ka hai (They are the new generation). They know better. They know what is in fashion. Sometimes you are in your own world. As a mother, I have other things to take. But, I enjoy asking them and we share. Sometimes, they ask me whether it looks good or not, what to change. The same way even I...we share each other's taste."

Sridevi has no hesitation for Jhanvi’s romantic jodi with older actors!

Veteran actress Sridevi is currently geared up for the promotions of her forthcoming film MOM. Along with her comeback, it is daughter Jhanvi Kapoor's Bollywood debut which has been hitting headlines. The doting mother has already counselled her daughter to be prepared for all the criticism that comes her way in the profession.

While Sridevi had endured her age elegantly and have started playing challenging roles of her age, her contemporaries Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and even Aamir Khan continue to play characters not their age and romancing young actors on screen.

But is Sridevi okay if her daughter is paired opposite an older actor?

The evergreen actor while speaking to a famous tabloid, answered in positive. "Good, na! They are looking good, people are accepting them, so it’s good for them. Aamir did play a father in Dangal. But I understand what you are saying. They have still remained superstars and it’s working for them. So why should I ask them to change?”

She further added, "Well, I worked with an actor Nageshwar Rao, and then I worked with his son, too. It has already happened with me, so if the same happens with Jhanvi and the heroes, why not?”

Jhanvi and Ishaan’s look test for Fault in Our Stars remake!

Veteran actress Sridevi and Boney Kapoor's daughter Jhanvi Kapoor's debut movie has been a topic of chat from quite a few months now. The young girl has been preparing up for her big debut under Karan Johar's banner Dharma Productions. While there hasn't been any official pronouncement yet, reports suggest that she would step into Bollywood with the Hindi remake of Marathi hit Sairat.

The film will also see another new face and that is of Shahid Kapoor's younger brother Ishaan Khatter. Though Ishaan's debut movie is Majid Majidi's Beyond the Clouds, his mainstream debut will be KJo's film.

Among these rumors, comes another news that has intrigued us. If a report in a daily is to be believed, then both Jhanvi and Ishaan have also been roped in for the remake of Shailene Woodley's Fault in Our Stars. The film will be directed by Shashank Khaitan, who has two blockbusters - Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania to his credit!

Fascinatingly, it was with this movie that Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's daughter Sara Ali Khan was to make her debut. But, it seems that things didn't work out between them and now the beautiful girl will be marking her debut in Bollywood with Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath that also stars Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead.

In the meantime, the look test for Fault in Our Stars happened over the weekend and both Jhanvi and Ishaan seem to have mesmerized all with it. We are thrilled to see the pictures from the look test and for the official announcement.

Sridevi, who essays a mother of two girls in the movie, has been thrilled about her movie. Sridevi is also the mother of two beautiful girls in real life. During a latest interview, Sridevi spoke about her own family and the loving bond that they share. She stated that there is so much love in their home that her daughter Jhanvi wishes that her man be just like her dad.

Sridevi told, "After my parents passed away, Boneyji has been my father, mother and husband. We've been married for 22 years but even today, people tell me his eyes light up when he talks about me. I take credit for that, I've worked really hard.  I bully him and so does he, but all in jest. Jhanvi says she doesn't find such happiness in her friends' homes and wants a man just like her dad."

Lately Sridevi was in the news when she told that she would rather see Jhanvi married and settled down as Bollywood is a very uncertain place. However, she later issued a clarification saying that she did not mean that girls are only meant to get married and settle down. "I have always told my daughters not to be dependent on anyone in any capacity," Sri had clarified.

Sridevi is set to be back on the big screen after five years with the thriller movie Mom. During some media interactions, she was floored with questions of her daughter Jhanvi Kapoor's Bollywood debut.

Lately, when a famous daily questioned Sridevi about her daughter's ambitions, she specified, "While we may slog, we're protective of our children and don't want to expose them to stress and toil. But a friend's daughter, who was pushed into marriage early, still complains, even after six years of a happy marriage. I didn't want Jhanvi to blame me so I gave my consent even though I wish she'd stayed away from this industry because I didn't want my child to go through all the pain, sacrifices and heartache."

Previously, there were reports of Jhanvi trying to flirt with Ranbir Kapoor. When Sridevi was questioned about these alleged reports, she told, "But Mummy, I was with Gauri aunty (Gauri Shinde, director of English Vinglish) Jhanvi protested and I told her, 'Welcome to my world, if you want to be a part of it, you have to be prepared for all this'."

Speaking about her younger daughter Khushi Kapoor, she told, "She has already started modelling and it will end up with her saying, 'Mujhe bhi acting karni hai'."

Now, as per a famous daily, Karan Johar will be following the footsteps of his mentor Aditya Chopra. Like Adi, Karan is likely to sign a three-film deal with the new actors he is working with.

The first among them is none other than Jhanvi. Thus, we will see Jhanvi working with Karan for three films over the years.

Lately, during an interaction with a famous daily, when Sridevi was questioned about her daughter Jhanvi's Bollywood debut, she specified, "Jhanvi wanted to do SOTY 2 and initially, I wasn’t in favour. I don’t think it’s a bad industry. I am a creation of this world. But as a parent, it would give me greater joy to see her married. But her happiness matters more, and if she does well as an actress, I will be a proud mother."

She further specified, "Earlier I would take them (Jhanvi and Khushi) to social gatherings and premieres that I attended. But they (people) thought I was promoting Jhanvi. Walking with my girls made me feel like a proud mother. But to the world, it became a reason to misunderstand me."
