Earlier, there had been rumors that Anushka Sharma has
joined the cast of Rajkumar Hirani's next, which is a biopic on controversial
star Sanjay Dutt and though at the time, there were reports that she will play
Dutt's wife, we have now learned that Sharma will be playing a journalist role
in the movie.
From what we have learned, she will be seen as a scribe
biographer who chronicles Sanjay's life in the movie. Reportedly, it was Hirani
who shares a good rapport with the actress who approached her and she instantly
agreed. The filmmaker is still working on the script and has promised to be
honest about Dutt's ups and downs. Ranbir Kapoor, who had romanced Anushka in
Bombay Velvet, will be seen playing the lead role.
