Nearly 20 years have passed since the debut of the Indian drama film Swades. It still manages to give cinephiles chills, nevertheless, nowadays. Both moviegoers and critics gave the movie by filmmaker and producer Ashutosh Gowariker positive reviews. Additionally, Gayatri Joshi, a former actress and model, and Shah Rukh Khan both received significant accolades for their performances. Sadly, Gayatri departed the movie industry after working her magic on the big screen so she could concentrate on her personal life. The Swades actress has now provided a new update, revealing that she and her husband recently had an accident while traveling in Italy.

When news of the couple's near-fatal accident made headlines, they were on vacation in Italy. Additionally, videos of the disturbing incident were posted on social media. The Lamborghini that Gayatri and her husband Vikas were traveling in Sardinia's countryside crashed with a Ferrari and a camper van, according to a story by a daily. According to reports, a serious accident occurred when the two fast cars collided while attempting to pass the large camper van in front of them. While the Ferrari caught fire, the van in front also overturned on the highway.

When the daily newspaper source contacted the actress to know about their whereabouts, the actress informed that both of them were absolutely fine. She said, “Vikas and I are in Italy. We met with an accident here (multiple-car collision). With God’s grace, we both are absolutely fine.”

Gayatri quit her job as a video jockey to focus solely on modeling. After having a mediocre amount of success in beauty pageant competitions, she began modeling for companies and appearing in music videos, including those for the songs Jhanjaria by Hans Raj Hans and Kaghaz Ki Kashti by Jagjit Singh.
