Shehnaaz Gill reacts on the issue of discrimination in Bollywood!

Actress Shehnaaz Gill's upcoming comedy, Thank You For Coming, has a strong female focus, and she seems really excited to contribute. Shibani Bedi, Kusha Kapila, Dolly Singh, and Bhumi Pednekar all play significant roles in the movie. Shehnaaz, who has recently dabbled in Bollywood and movies, was open in an interview about the issue of actors and crew not getting the same respect on movie sets. She also talked about how things were different on the Thank You For Coming sets.

The actress recently spoke with a portal on the issue of discrimination in Bollywood and shared how everyone was treated equally on the sets of her upcoming film Thank You For Coming. When asked if everyone on the sets was treated similarly, she disclosed, “Yes, iss set me toh seriously mujhe aisi feeling ayi. Mujhe laga jaise…hoga idhar bhi ki… bade logo ko alag dikhaya jata hai aur chote logon ko side pe kiya jata hai. But, idhar aisa kuch nahi tha (I seriously felt that we were treated equally. I thought, here too, people might discriminate among bigger and smaller stars, but nothing as such happened).” Shehnaaz went on to explain how important the production is to this process and how they are only contacted right before the shot.

Shehnaaz acknowledged that every set was different and that not everyone received the same treatment, but she also stated she was delighted to have had the chance to do so. "Har set me aisa nahi hota. Mujhe yeh cheez achi lag rahi hai ki mai experience kar rahi hu (It does not happen in every set. I feel good about the fact that I am getting to experience it)," said Gill.
