Priyanka Chopra, who had lately wowed everybody with her
portrayal of the gracious Kashibai in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani,
will be next seen playing a harsh cop in Prakash Jha's Jai Gangaajal and we
hear that Jha had Priyanka in mind as the first choice to play the central
character Abha Mathur.
Sanctioning the news, Jha told that Priyanka was his first
and last choice for the role of IPS officer SP Abha Mathur and that they both
had wanted to work with each other since years. Jha further revealed that she
contacted him when he was writing Jai Gangaajal and told him that she wanted to
do this role and that no other actress should be signed up for this.
