Randeep Hooda will be seen playing the lead role in Omung
Kumar's Sarbjit, which revolves around an Indian farmer, who was sentenced and
executed on charges of espionage by the Pakistan government and it seems that
Hooda has won the hearts of Sarbjit Singh's family members, particularly his
sister Dalbir Kaur.
An insider reveals, "Randeep met Dalbir for the first
time in Mumbai, before they started shooting for the movie. And when they were
filming at Bhikhiwind, a town along the India-Pakistan border in Punjab,
recently, Dalbir dropped in on the sets to meet Randeep. She shared stories of
her and Sarabjit's childhood. This even helped Randeep prepare for his
role."
The source further adds that Dalbir has invited Randeep to
her house. "He has promised her that he will come over for a meal. They
share a great bond now," the source added.
When contacted, Randeep says, ''It was a pleasure to meet
Sarabjit's family and friends in Bhikhiwind. Dalbir and both her daughters are
adorable.''
The film will have Aishwarya Rai Bachchan playing Dalbir
Kaur while Richa Chadda will play Sarbjit's wife.
