Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor is taking pleasure in Stree 2's success. Known for her exceptional acting skills and kind nature, she recently opened out about her challenging journey before Aashiqui 2. She revealed that her father, Shakti Kapoor, did little to help her acquire parts and remarked about how hard it was to convince people to cast her.

Abir Gulaal Wraps Up Shoot!

The romantic comedy Abir Gulaal, starring Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor and Pakistani superstar Fawad Khan, started filming on September 29, 2024, at several sites in and around London. The latest reports suggest that the two have wrapped up their filming in the British metropolis. The film, which is being produced by Aarjay Pictures, Indian Stories, and A Richer Lens, is directed by Aarti S. Bagdi, who also produced Chalti Rahe Zindagi.

The 40-day filming schedule for Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor's upcoming film in London is finally finished, according to a daily. Reports state that a small group of people would initially see the film. It also mentions that the film's producers intend to promote it internationally, starting with screenings at various film festivals.

After it has screened at significant international film festivals, the business behind this cross-cultural project will determine whether to release it in theaters. Sometime in the second half of 2025, the movie is expected to be released in Indian theaters.

They also believed that due of their engaging performances and undeniable appeal, audiences will be captivated by the on-screen romance between Fawad and Vaani Kapoor.

According to filmmaker Aarti S. Bagdi's plot synopsis, the movie follows the journey of two people who, by chance, help one other recover, with love emerging as an unexpected climax. Fawad was adored and admired for his roles in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Kapoor & Sons, and other movies.

In Abir Gulaal, Fawad Khan portrays a chef who works in the UK. The film also features Lisa Hayden in addition to Vaani. Abir Gulaal is being directed by Arti Bagdi and produced by Vivek B. Agarwal, Avantika Hari, and Rakesh Sippy.

Rajkummar Rao's Stree 3 Update!

The horror-comedy Stree 2, directed by Amar Kaushik and starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, created a stir in international markets after its August 15, 2024, release. Fans have finally received an important update on Stree 3 from Rajkummar Rao, and it's not what they were anticipating. The news of a sequel has been eagerly anticipated by fans. Citing the six-year gap between Stree and Stree 2, he emphasized the need of investing the time necessary to produce a high-quality project.

Salman Khan’s 'Shuddhi' with Sohail Khan?

As we all know, Shuddhi has been in the making and in talks since many years but looks like it has now hit a roadblock of sorts. Shuddhi was reported to be Karan Johar's dream project with Salman Khan in the lead role. But, as per media sources, Salman Khan's brother now seems to have registered the title.

When casting for Shuddhi initially kicked off, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan were slated to star in the movie. But, Hrithik soon opted out and the search ended with Salman Khan giving a nod to the movie which will be directed by director Karan Malhotra. But, Salman, who was supposed to co-produce Kesari with Karan Johar, opted out of the project later. 

Among reports of movie being cancelled, producer Karan Johar had clarified that Shuddhi will unquestionably happen and he may get his students Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan to star in the same. 

Now, as per media sources, that there is a high possibility of Sohail Khan making Shuddhi. If there is any truth to the matter, he may just cast brother Salman in the lead role. This means that despite opting out of Karan Johar's Shuddhi, Salman may still end up doing a movie titled by the same name but with his brother Sohail Khan instead.

Wife Debina doesn't interfere in my work, reveals Gurmeet Choudhary!

TV and film star Gurmeet Choudhary, who will be seen in a never-seen-before character in the forthcoming erotic-thriller "Wajah Tum Ho", tells his wife and television actress Debina Bonnerjee doesn't interfere in his work.

Questioned about Debina's reaction on seeing his bold avatar, Gurmeet revealed, "I got a beating at home, already have a lot of body pain don't ask anymore! Jokes aside, ours is friendship first before love and marriage. Debina never interferes in my work and neither do I. She knows that I am going to be extremely responsible in whatever I do."

The "Khamoshiyan" star married Debina in 2011.

"Our relationship has matured into many more things," he further added.

TV's star, Barun Sobti made buzz when he quit his popular TV show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon in 2012. While the news saddened many admirers, Barun bagged three movies after that. This included John Abraham production Satra Ko Shaadi Hai and, 22 Yards. But besides Main Aur Mr. Riight (2014), his other movies are still under production. 

Here the good news as the recent premiere of his fourth movie Tu Hai Mera Sunday at the London Film Festival (UK). The movie was lately screened at the MAMI film festival in Mumbai. 

In a conversation with a famous daily revealed, Barun was questioned about his two postponed movies and what kept him going! To this, he told, "I have had an enormous amount of support from my wife, Pashmeen. I was taken care of financially, which helped me carry on doing good work. Everyone has a different life story. Things happen rapidly for someone and things move slowly for others. As I was being choosy with my work, only a few offers were coming my way. The belief in myself and people’s support helped me a lot. Everyone around me believes in me as a (hard-working) person and actor. So, there was never a time when things weren’t working out. After a point, I reached a stage where I felt I had shown a lot of courage by following my dreams. Thankfully, the wait has started to pay off now."

Barun further added, "I was shooting for a web series called Tanhaiyaan with Surbhi Jyoti, which should wrap up by December. I was working on Tu Hai Mera Sunday, which was screened at the London Film Festival and at the MAMI film festival in Mumbai. We are looking at an early release next year. I should finish shooting for my other movie, 22 Yards, by December too."

I just took nine days to write the film 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, reveals Karan Johar!

Well-known director Karan Johar, whose newest- 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' is ready for a Diwali release, told he finished writing the story of the movie in just nine days. 

Present at the Jio MAMI 18th Mumbai Film Festival, Karan said journalists "I just took nine days to write the film. I was in New York and while walking around the streets, I was thinking about the pain a person goes through when one-sided love happens. I have gone through that pain. The story of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil talks about this side of a love story." 

On being quizzed if the story would have been told in a different way had a female directed it, Karan told, "I am trapped in my feminine side more strongly, so I don't think it would have made any difference if the film was directed by a female." 

"I am matured enough to tell a story from both perspectives. In fact, I represent women more than men in my stories," he further added. 

The movie faced criticism due to the involvement of Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in the film and was banned by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). The ban was cleared on Saturday after MNS demanded that the producers of the movie pay a sum of Rs 5 crore each into an Indian Army welfare fund as a compensation. 

Waiting to share screen space or sing with cousin Priyanka, says Parineeti Chopra!

Bollywood bubbly Parineeti Chopra tells she is waiting to work with her cousin and well-known actress Priyanka Chopra in a project. 

Questioned if she is keen to share screen with Priyanka, Parineeti said, "Wow... I am also waiting for that. If I have a great opportunity to work with her or sing with her that would be something I really want to do, but something really great has to come for both of us to do it together".  

On the film front, Parineeti, who turned 28 on Saturday, will next be seen in "Meri Pyaari Bindu" along Ayushmann Khurrana. She will be seen playing an aspiring singer in the movie. 

Parineeti has also begun shooting for "Takadum" with actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

No skin show, no lip lock; it’s just in the eyes, says Karan Johar on Aishwarya's character in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil!

After the trailer release of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, it was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's sizzling chemistry with Ranbir Kapoor which became the buzz in the bollywood. Not just it grabbed many viewers, it also increased the curiosity among admirers about Aishwarya's role in the movie.

At the MAMI film festival in Mumbai, director Karan Johar was enquired about Aishwarya's bold avatar in the movie. The director, who was present at the event with Aishwarya and Anushka Sharma, opened about the diva's character in the film.

Karan revealed, “What is brilliant with Aishwarya is, she knows what the film's requirement is. There is no kissing in this film, there is no skin show. It is the attitude you are reacting to. There is nothing! There are no censor cuts on the Aishwarya track. The censor understood the essence of the film. It's the attitude and that's one thing you can never actually fake. And I think she has done it with a certain amount of conviction. People are going on and on about her being sexy. There is no skin show in the film, not even a lip lock. It's just in the eyes, in the attitude. I think that's where the actor step in, that's where she step in."

Hindi Film Industry is very vulnerable where politics or nationalism is concerned, reveals Ajay Devgn!

Actor cum filmmaker cum director Ajay Devgn, who awaits the release of his "Shivaay" directorial endeavor, tells the Indian film industry is scared of politics because if a person speaks against any political party, his movie will be prohibited from releasing.

On October 28, "Shivaay" will clash at the box office with filmmaker Karan Johar's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil", which is presently in news for featuring Pakistani actor Fawad Khan.

Previously famous stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan had faced a criticism on their comments on intolerance. Even filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt told lately that he will not work with Pakistani actors.

Questioned Ajay whether it is nationalism or fear behind such statements, he told, "Both. When it comes to nationalism, as I said, I stand by the country. When it comes to politics, an industry man gets a little scared. He gets scared because if today you say anything against a group, your film will be stopped, something will happen".

"We are very vulnerable where politics is concerned. Where nationalism is concerned, I don't think it (Bollywood) is divided... We want to stay away from politics because we are vulnerable. But when it comes about the nation, there I stand by it. But when politics is concerned, sometimes you say it, but most of the time you stay quite because of fear," he added.

Ajay alongside with his wife Kajol on Saturday took part in discussion at "Manthan" Aaj Tak to talk about the current political scenario of Bollywood and Pakistani actors.

Like numerous in the industry, Ajay too tells that till the time the tensions between India and Pakistan get better, he will not work with any artiste from that side of the border.

Aamir starrer Dangal’s an amazing journey from newspaper article to screen!

It's all the time enthralling story behind Aamir Khan's keenly expected Dangal. Not many know that back in 2012, it was a small article about Mahavir Singh Phogat in a leading newspaper which caught the attention of one of Disney's creative executives Divya Rao, and inspired her to imagine a film about the Phogats. The article was about Mahavir’s pronouncement to train his two daughters in wrestling, a game which is generally perceived as a man’s sport across the country, particularly in a state like Haryana. 

When Divya pitched Dangal’s tale to Siddharth Roy Kapur and other members of the Disney team, they promptly agreed to tell it on the big screen. The next step was to bring someone on board for penning down the story and directing it. It was then that Nitesh Tiwari came on board. Nitesh instantly saw heart and soul in the story and set off for Haryana with Divya to meet Mahavir Singh Phogat and his wrestler-daughters. 

As soon as the Phogats agreed to tell their story to the world and Nitesh had penned a script, Disney approached Aamir Khan to play the character of Mahavir Singh on the big screen. Khan loved Nitesh's narration immediately - and rest, as they say, is history!

We are not in an age to do multi-starrers, says Karan Johar on Ram Lakhan Remake shelved!

Admirers were thrilled when the newsflash of Ram Lakhan's remake appeared. Rumors were widespread, as to who will step into Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor's shoes. Names like Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor were doing the rounds. Rohit Shetty was supposed to helm the project in joint association with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. 

But, later Rohit made it clear that he and KJo are working together on something else instead. It came out that while numerous Bollywood actors wanted to essay the role of Lakhan, no one was ready to essay's Ram's role. 

At the MAMI festival, for the #MovieMela session, Karan Kohar was present with his next movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil's leading ladies Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma.

There the filmmaker was questioned about as to why Ram Lakhan's remake was cancelled. KJo, known for his blunt replies, told, "Lakhan will have the larger part. Ram will be insecure. So we can't do Ram Lakhan with one star and it's messy. Let's admit it, we are not in an age to do multi-starrers."
