"I am very far away from being angry. I really don't get angry most of the time. I am a patient person. But if I doesn't display anger, that doesn't mean I am not angry," Barun told.

"He (Advay) is definitely angry. But there are no similarities between the character I played earlier to this one. The new show has an entirely different story, backdrop and new characters. It has nothing to do with the one I played earlier. It's not a continuation of that show," he further added.

"When I was approached by the makers, at that time I really liked the story. So, eventually we decided that it should be called a third installment. It's not my call to call it a third installment. The channel decided to call the ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon'," Barun told.

Barun has been paired with actress Shivani Tomar in the show, which will soon be aired on Star Plus.

I don’t think I’ll ever know what went wrong with scrapped show Satya Ki Kiran, says Barun Sobti!

TV star Barun Sobti is hectic shooting for a web series Tanhaiyan. Sobti rose to recognition with his super hit TV show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, and since then there has been no looking back for the actor. In a frank talk with a web portal, Barun expected that producers on the small screen attempt to generate better and different content. He also spoke about his show Satya Ki Kiran, which abruptly got scrapped.

Barun shot for a TV show previously this year, but it never took off. On being asked what happened, the actor replied, "I don’t think I’ll ever know what went wrong. But I feel whatever happens, happens for the best. We had shot just three episodes when the channel pulled the plug. Had we shot a major chunk, it would have been tough for the producers. They are an awesome production house and I hope I get a chance to work with them in the future."

As Barun had moved to films, was it a challenging decision for him to return to TV? "Not really. I had other commitments, so I couldn’t take up a daily soap as it is a long-term thing. I am game for finite series on TV. I think there is a larger responsibility towards actors to make television what it should be in India. I would love to take on the challenge. Had it been for me, I would focus on good content. But that would be from my perspective, it can be rubbish content for someone else (laughs). I hope better and serious TV content is created in the years to come. There are some makers who have tried working on shows with different content, but one has to hold their nerves while doing so. What happens mostly is that people ‘attempt’ different subjects; but the start of the new venture is financially heavy, so when it doesn’t give desired results, they change to what usually works," told the actor before signing off.

As I was being choosy with my work, only a few offers were coming my way, reveals Barun Sobti!

TV's star, Barun Sobti made buzz when he quit his popular TV show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon in 2012. While the news saddened many admirers, Barun bagged three movies after that. This included John Abraham production Satra Ko Shaadi Hai and, 22 Yards. But besides Main Aur Mr. Riight (2014), his other movies are still under production.

Here the good news as the recent premiere of his fourth movie Tu Hai Mera Sunday at the London Film Festival (UK). The movie was lately screened at the MAMI film festival in Mumbai.

In a conversation with a famous daily revealed, Barun was questioned about his two postponed movies and what kept him going! To this, he told, "I have had an enormous amount of support from my wife, Pashmeen. I was taken care of financially, which helped me carry on doing good work. Everyone has a different life story. Things happen rapidly for someone and things move slowly for others. As I was being choosy with my work, only a few offers were coming my way. The belief in myself and people’s support helped me a lot. Everyone around me believes in me as a (hard-working) person and actor. So, there was never a time when things weren’t working out. After a point, I reached a stage where I felt I had shown a lot of courage by following my dreams. Thankfully, the wait has started to pay off now."

Barun further added, "I was shooting for a web series called Tanhaiyaan with Surbhi Jyoti, which should wrap up by December. I was working on Tu Hai Mera Sunday, which was screened at the London Film Festival and at the MAMI film festival in Mumbai. We are looking at an early release next year. I should finish shooting for my other movie, 22 Yards, by December too."
