Ranbir Kapoor’s cameo in SRK-Anushka's The Ring!

Karan Johar succeeded to bring in an array of stars together in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. But, it was Shah Rukh Khan's cameo who gathered headlines in this Ranbir Kapoor-Anushka Sharma starrer movie.

While SRK-Anushka will be seen in Imtiaz Ali's next, rumours are widespread the movie will also star Ranbir Kapoor!

As per reports, he will be seen in a cameo appearance, as per reports in a famous tabloid. A source close to the development informed the tabloid, "There was a small role which Imtiaz wanted a strong actor to play. Between him and Ranbir, it is never an 'ask situation'. Imtiaz mentioned it to him and RK gave his nod. Ranbir can't say no to him."

The movie, tentatively titled The Ring, seemingly traces the life of Anushka's character, who plays a free-spirited tourist who falls in love with her guide while traveling with him across Europe, looking for her lost engagement ring. As per the sources, Ranbir will essay Anushka's fiancé in the movie!

"Imtiaz was impressed with Anushka and Ranbir's chemistry in ADHM. He wanted a similar friendship and camaraderie to flow between Anushka's character and her fiancé's in the movie. Since RK is busy shooting for Jagga Jasoos, he is yet to shoot for the part but he has given his nod to Imtiaz. He intends to squeeze in time for this after he wraps up Jagga Jasoos and before he starts shooting for the Sanjay Dutt-biopic with Rajkumar Hirani," further added the source.

A validation to this news is yet to be made by the film's team or Ranbir Kapoor.

Singer Arijit Singh’s insecurity over his place in the showbiz!

Presently, Arijit Singh is leading the pack of singers in the Bollywood. Belting out many hits like Tum Hi Ho, Kabira, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil etc, Arijit's voice has become synonymous with almost all the leading actors. But, the singer himself sounds anxious about his place in the showbiz!

In a communication with a daily, Singh told, "I don't think I have a long way to go. This might be my last year." Referring to the short shelf life of Bollywood's artistes, the 29-year-old singer stated added, "Normally, fresh voices replace (current favourites) every five to seven years in Bollywood."

But Arijit also offers a solution to this tricky situation. "I might be able to change that. If I work really hard on specific genres, I might be able to stay longer. That way, I can emerge as the only singer who can croon songs of those genres. Maybe that's how I will survive," told Arijit.

Arijit keeps a safe distance from any kind of media and social interaction. On being urged, he specified, "I enjoy a quiet life, without much interruption. Over the past three years, I have seen my fan base grow, and I think it's essential for them to know that I've always been someone who refrains from interactions because I enjoy a silent life. With the growth of social media, this, too, becomes difficult."

Sonam and Ranbir reunite again for the Sanjay Dutt biopic after Saawariya!

Bollywood stars Ranbir and Sonam set their first foot in Bollywood with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya. And while the film itself wasn’t a big commercial hit, it gave us two rising stars.

But, post their debut the twosome hasn’t shared the screen space in this one decade of their acting career in the industry. So for those who have been ruing over it, here comes the good news! Director Rajkumar Hirani has lately verified that the Saawariya pair will soon have a reunion in Sanjay Dutt’s biopic.

Remarkably, it will be a special appearance and will have Sonam depict the role of one of the B-town actresses whom Duttt had dated in the 90's.

A famous tabloid quoted a source as telling, “Her character is not reflective of any particular woman but is a fictional amalgamation of the many women Dutt dated through the 1980s and 90s.”

In the meantime, Ranbir will start shooting for it in 2017 and will also share the screen with his Ae Dil Hai Mushkilco-star Anushka Sharma who essays a journalist in the movie.

Anushka confessed that she is inquisitive by nature and she wants to know everything. Speaking about learning a lot from SRK, she cited, "When I'm with Shah Rukh, he tells me stories about his life, his experiences, his philosophies. SRK-Aishwarya’s casting in next movie just a rumour and conjecture, reveals Karan Johar!

Filmmaker cum host Karan Johar is presently basking in the astonishing success of his newest directorial Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. His newest blockbuster has entered the INR 100 crore club, and the filmmaker rates ADHM as his 'most satisfying piece of work.' In a conversation with a famous tabloid, Karan spilled the beans about his next directorial post-Ae Dil... and if he is launching Sridevi's daughter Jhanvi Kapoor anytime soon.

The rumour mill is abuzz that his next directorial endeavor will star Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. While the news has got admirers quite thrilled, Karan Johar dismissed any such news. "No, these are all rumours and conjectures. I don’t even know the script of my next film. How can I have a cast? I have no clue what I am making next. I am taking off in December for two weeks to go somewhere and centre my thoughts. I will come back with new, renewed vigour in the new year," told Johar.

Lately Boney Kapoor confirmed the news that Karan Johar is indeed launching his daughter Jhanvi in the film industry. It is being said that Karan is remaking Sairat (Marathi film) with Sridevi’s daughter in the lead. To this, Johar answered, "I don’t want to make any announcement of any sort as of now. Sairat is a film I absolutely loved. I have great regard for the movie and its filmmaker. The movie blew my mind. I don’t want to say anything more until the formal details are out."

Aishwarya retorts to buzzes of reuniting with SRK again!

Miss world Aishwarya Rai Bachchan set hearts on fire when she essayed the role of Saba, the poetess in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. When she was asked about her character by a close source, she told, "Karan (Johar) and I really worked on her. She is a poet, her grace and how she speaks were aspects we worked upon," Aishwarya told.

On resemblances between herself and Saba, she told, "That's for me to know and you guys to wonder."

She was requested if she would work with Karan Johar on another movie, as there were rumors of her sharing screen space with Shah Rukh Khan soon. To this, she told, "That's all speculation. I am still reading scripts you will know as and when. I like to surprise."

Aishwarya speaks up about the never-ending stories about intimate scenes on screen!

Much uproar was generated when the viewers saw Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in a bold avatar in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The actress was seen doing some steamy scenes with her co-star Ranbir Kapoor which grabbed many attentions. While rumors and speculations were floating around that the actress' family - Bachchans - weren't content with her bold side, Aishwarya has finally come out and spoke about the never-ending stories doing the rounds.

In a chat with a newspaper, Aishwarya talked about her choices of doing an intimate scene or kissing on screen. "No, I think… in that I'm referring to the fact that when I did Dhoom 2, um, I remember I did that just around the time there was also the talk of possibly working in the West, and um, I was declining some wonderful work in the West because I personally also wasn't comfortable with the idea of intimacy on celluloid, but I keep referring to everything as, I think to the audience, everything is relative to how much they are exposed to. So when there's this huge influx of (kissing scenes) they've seen so much, that I think somehow (sic) now the audience has also become, pretty uh, they've... they've gotten used to all of this visually. Uh, but at the time, I said okay let me first do, let me kind of maybe explore that turf a little bit, in an Indian movie, and so Dhoom was where you know I kind of explored the area, and um..."

Was she surprised by the reactions to the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil promos? "No, I mean the response of the audience and critics and all was obviously I mean there, you saw the results in the movie itself, people kind of loved the movie and all of that, but uh... there was some kind of, there was a little bit of uproar that Yashji had shared with us, which at the time was surprising, but it was topical about, (sic) there's just this immense, but it's weird... it came from a  place of great love... and towards me, I mean it's almost like people felt I belonged to everybody, and it was from that protective, possessive love, that there was a bit of chatter and talk around, and a bit of a reaction, so what I mean is... it's all relative, when you kind of see with the times, but here we are," retorted Mrs.Bachchan.

Amitabh Bachchan praises Aishwarya’s role for turned the tables on men!

Beautiful actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan essayed a sensuous Urdu poetess in the film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The stunning actress had some passionate scenes with co-star Ranbir Kapoor, something which the Bachchan Bahu has stayed away from, since her marriage to Abhishek Bachchan.

But, Aishwarya astonished one and all when she chose to essay the role of Saba in Karan Johar's ADHM. Though everyone loved her performance in the film, there was a lot of speculation as to what her seemingly conservative in-laws would feel about the situation.

But, Amitabh Bachchan made his stand on the topic clear when he admired Aishwarya's role and act in a latest interview. Speaking about women empowerment Big B told that the character of Saba played by Aishwarya, turned the tables on men.

I’ll f*** you if you’re going to call me Uncle, reveals Karan Johar!

With all the showy ways and with a very Karan Johar way of making movies, Karan comes across to be a vivacious person. A bang on sense of humour and a strong individuality surely makes the filmmaker stand out. While we have hardly ever seen him frown, here is something Karan confesses he despises.

During a latest interview, he confessed that he hates being called KJo, Uncle or Sir. On being questioned what his mother calls him, Karan disclosed, “Karan. My college friends call me Karu, which is the worst. Only in our country can we make a short form for a short name. But otherwise, I’ve never had a pet name all my life. But now, in official meetings, someone will call me KJo. And I’ll judge that person in my head. Just call me Karan. You have some kids who will come through family friends and work in the company [Dharma Productions]. You cross a certain age and you are Uncle. And — pardon my French — but I’ll f*** you if you’re going to call me Uncle.”

On further being asked if it is vanity the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil director confessed, “I think so. It’s not like I think I’m a beauty queen. But I feel that if I am called Uncle, my thoughts have to constantly be relevant. It’s not the reminder about my age. It’s the formality. I can’t function with it.”

Irresponsible remarks by filmmakers and self-important seeking singers, reacts Karan Johar! Know why?

Filmmaker Karan Johar is overjoyed with the response he has been getting for his film. But, the controversies surrounding Ae Dil Hai Mushkil refuse to die down. The latest one being the Mohammad Rafi remark in the film, which has upset the late singer's family and fans.

Lately, when Sonu Nigam was questioned about this issue, he had told, "I do not wish to comment on the issue but the person who made the movie should consider if he is OK making fun of his own father in the same way then they could go ahead and make fun of legends."

When filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra was asked about this, he told, "I have not seen the movie and I have no plans to. I am not interested in watching it anytime." He then went on to applause the movie Ventilator, which he had just watched. He told, "I just watched this movie and if you watch it, you will forget about all other movies and their controversies. This is good cinema."

Well, it seems Karan Johar could not take any more of his colleagues' mean remarks as he posted, "Filmmakers making irresponsible remarks at events..singers revelling in self importance...press releases sent to mask insecurities! Ufff...."
