Earlier, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had finally verified the
reports that had been floating around for months that she was reuniting with
husband and actor Abhishek Bachchan on screen for Gulab Jamun. Gulab Jamun will
be directed by Anurag Kashyap.
Aishwarya had shared that the couple had agreed on the film
last year itself but it coincided with the time Abhishek decided to take some
time out. Aishwarya also specified that a script should be interesting for a
real-life couple to come on screen and that Gulab Jamun was a beautiful script.
Speaking about how they are as co-stars, Aishwarya revealed,
"Abhishek and I respect each other as partners. Forget the fact that we
are husband and wife, because we are co-stars as well, and we’ve done a lot of
films together. Guru and Raavan are some of the great pieces of work that we
are proud of."
Previously, Aishwarya and Abhishek have worked in numerous movies
like Dhai Akshar Prem Ke (2000), Kuch Naa Kaho (2003), Umrao Jaan (2006), Dhoom
2 (2006), Guru (2007), Raavan (2010) and Sarkar Raj (2008).
