International actress Priyanka Chopra is one of the
phenomenal and spectacular actors in the film industry. Beside with Bollywood, Priyanka
has won hearts even in overseas and she enjoys a huge fan following there. She essayed
the lead role in American TV show Quantico for all the three seasons. She essayed
the main antagonist in Hollywood movie Baywatch.
Recently, Priyanka attended an event in Delhi where she spoke
about how Asian actors get sidekick types roles in these international flicks.
As per media reports, Priyanka revealed, "I am playing
characters which have nothing to do with my ethnicity which I feel will open
the door for Indian talent or South Asian talent to become mainstream which
will open the door for people to see us as mainstream entertainment in global
movies, why do we only have to play the sidekick."
Priyanka further added, "I'm going to play the leading
lady and I'm not going to compromise on that, simple."
