Shahid Kapoor attended a promotional event today
looking all dapper in a blue suit. When asked about his daughter Misha Kapoor,
and how he would like to shape her future, Shahid gave a deep and meaningful reply.
He said, "My parents have always told me to do what I
want to do. They always said that it is not necessary for me to follow in their
footsteps. There were no restrictions or expectations. It is very important for
parents to understand that though you give birth to your children, they too
have to live their own life. So, I mean, Misha is very very small, she is only
8 months old right now, but I just wish that she does what she enjoys. I will
support, encourage and love her whatever she wants to do in her life. As a
parent, you have to support and encourage your child. Don't burden them with
your ambitions. I never want to do that. I just feel happy whenever she smiles.
My happiness is in her happiness."
Shahid Kapoor and wife Mira were blessed with a baby girl
last September. Since then, the doting parents have been spending a lot of time
with the little one. They are often clicked at the airport, traveling with
their little one.
On the work front, Shahid is busy
with Padmavati. The movie by Sanjay Leela Bhansali also
features Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Shahid's last stint
at the box office, Rangoon, was termed a flop.
