It’s a journey from Ishq Vishq to Vivah to Haider and Udta
Punjab, Shahid Kapoor has absolutely come a long way in Bollywood. Firstly
known to play the characters of the boy-next-door types, Shahid broadened his
horizons and proved his mettle and resourcefulness as an actor when he starred
in Vishal Bhardwaj's Kaminey and the rest is history.
Now, the actor completes 14 years in the industry and Sasha
as his fans lovingly call him, took to Twitter to celebrate the occasion.
His tweet reads, "Thanks peeps for the many wishes. 14
years of doing what I love. Beauty of cinema, you always feel like a
student. Too much to learn."
He further added, "Too much to achieve. Too little
time. Time to put my blinders on and run like there's no tomorrow. Gratitude
and love. For believing in me."
In the meantime, Shahid is now shooting for the magnum opus Padmavati which
is being helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. While Shahid will be playing the role
of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh, he will be starring alongside Deepika Padukone who
plays Rani Padmini and Ranveer Singh who will be seen playing the
antagonist, Alauddin Khilji. Padmavatiis slated to release on November 17,
2017.
On the personal front, Shahid is happily married to Mira
Rajput and they welcomed a daughter last year in August and named their baby
girl Misha Kapoor.
