One of the best filmmakers of Bollywood and Television
promoting values in the most entertaining way possible is Sooraj Bharjatya. At
the launch of his newest offering Piyaa Albela lately, we caught up with him
for a short yet frank chat.
The veteran filmmaker replied to every question asked with
utmost grace. So now that he planning to bring about a new show on TV, has he
been following the content on Indian Television off late?! Ask him this and he tells,
"I keep a track of all the shows that are doing well presently, you know
that's my greed," joked Sooraj. "But my son makes sure to keep a tab
on every storyline that currently is on air. He then keeps me updated with it
and that's how you learn right. Then those are the things that we need to keep
in mind while making shows."
So is there any show on the Indian platform that Mr Barjatya
is fond of in specific?! "Oh well, I was the greatest fan of Yeh Rishta
Kya Kehlata Hai. But off lately couldn't follow that show considering the
hectic schedule. It was one show which, if you must have seen had no antagonist
as such. It was dependent on the situations that one could face in real life
too and that made it more relatable. Only that show could do it. Also
narrative wise if there is any, I love Shakti," told Sooraj.
