While it has been a wrap for Salman Khan’s Tubelight,
the actor lately shot an underwater sequence for the movie. And though it was
his first such experience, Salman surprised all with his swimming skills.
Seemingly, the 51-year-old had no trouble filming the scene
and shot it like a pro along with brother Sohail Khan.
A famous tabloid quoted a source as telling, “Before an
underwater shoot, all actors are trained so that they are comfortable in the
water wearing scuba or diving gear. In Salman’s case, there was no diving gear
required, as he is a great swimmer.”
Anees Adenwala who owns a specialized underwater
filming unit, Underwater Film services, had trained Salman for the sequence and
was all praises for him.
Speaking about his experience of working with the actor,
Anees told, “We were to do an underwater shoot for a sequence in the film. For
shooting the underwater parts though I chatted with him to make him understand
how to sustain the breathing and manage the buoyancy-two imperative elements of
underwater shoots. The pool was cold and we took some laps to warm up. Salman
is a water baby. Many actors have troubles getting comfortable in the water,
but not him. It was a pleasure working with Salman.”
Directed by Kabir Khan, Tubelight is a historical
war drama and also stars Chinese actress Zhu Zhu.
