Ranveer Singh will shift from his Bandra residence to a posh
apartment in Goregaon for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati like he did for
Bajirao Mastani.
Whether Ranveer Singh will or won’t be a part of Padmavati
has been the talk of the town since weeks. All’s well and the actor is on board
as Alauddin Khilji, the ruler of the Khilji dynasty who was obsessed with
Padmavati, the queen of Chittor played by Deepika Padukone. Ranveer Singh has
been growing his beard for his role in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie. He has
been told to keep at least 200 days for the shoot. The director puts up a huge
set up at Film City Studios in Goregaon for his movies. And he is doing the
same for Padmavati.
A source reveals, “While filming Bajirao Mastani, Ranveer
stayed at a luxury hotel on the highway which was a few minutes away from the
sets. He had also bought a spacious apartment in one of the highrises, which
was being done up. Now that’s complete and the actor will shift there once
Padmavati goes on the floors.”
In the meantime, Deepika who lives further from the set than
Ranveer (in mid-town) will travel to the set from her residence every day, as
will the other actor of the movie, Shahid Kapoor.
In June last year, he had moved out of his family home in
Bandra to live closer to the set in Goregaon. It seems the actor was losing
time due to heavy traffic due to rains and wanted to eliminate that issue.
Furthermore, he used to shoot daily for 12 hours, which took a toll on his
health. Plus, he had the injury to his shoulder, which badly affected him. The
actor needed physiotherapy for four hours as well. These factors made it easier
for the actor to live in Goregaon and report from there to the sets.
The actor had taken a lot of efforts to keep his look hidden
from the movie. He also went into isolation to understand the character of
Peshwa Bajirao, the famed Maratha ruler who was trapped between his wife,
Kashibai (Priyanka Chopra) and love, Mastani (Deepika Padukone).
