Is Tubelight a remake of Hollywood film Little Boy?

Kabir Khan’s movie isn’t an original story but a remake of Hollywood movie Little Boy.

A lot is being written about Kabir Khan’s next Tubelight with Salman Khan, Sohail Khan and Chinese actress Zhu Zhu. There is huge curiosity surrounding the project and the first looks of the movie have already created great news. Kabir and Salman have been on a winning streak with Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, so there is a great deal of hope from Tubelight. But, there isn’t a lot of info available on the film apart from the fact that it’s set against the backdrop of the Indo-China war.

So it came as a surprise when we heard that Tubelight isn’t an original script but a remake of the 2015 Hollywood movie Little Boy. The only difference between the two is that Little Boy had a track between a father and son while Tubelight has the same plot between two brothers – Salman and Sohail.

Now apparently we don’t have a little boy in Tubelight. All that we have is Salman Khan, Sohail Khan and Zhu Zhu. Speaking of which, our source explains how Salman plays the character of the little boy, here known as Tubelight. So just like how Pepper gets mocked for his diminutive stature, Salman too will be seen facing a lot of issues for being slow in picking up things – hence the name Tubelight. And as far as Sohail’s role is concerned, he plays Salman’s brother who goes missing in action during a war whereas Zhu Zhu comes as this constant romantic interruption!
