Actress Ameesha Patel marked her big Bollywood debut
opposite Hrithik Roshan with Rakesh Roshan's Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai and it became
the major hit of year 2000.
While Hrithik went on to become one of industry's most
bankable actors, Ameesha lost her sheen over the years. Hrithik's newest
release Mohenjo Daro, which marked Pooja Hegde's Bollywood debut, didn't fare
well at the box-office and Ameesha lately made some hurtful comments about the
newbie.
At a modern event, when asked if she wants a sequel to Kaho
Naa Pyaar Hai to be made, she told, ''Of course I want a sequel to Kaho Naa
Pyaar Hai but more than me, the viewers want it to happen. My social media
pages are flooded with messages asking Hrithik, Rakesh Roshan and Filmkraft
Productions to come up with Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai 2.''
''If you have noticed, even during Mohenjo Daro's
promotions, Pooja Hegde did a Dubsmash on Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai's title track and
Hrithik too promoted Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. I'm sorry that the movie didn't do
well but the tag was to come up with a newcomer in a movie but every film with
a newcomer cannot be as successful as KNPH. People love Hrithik and I together
so if a Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai 2 gets made it will receive a bumper opening.''
