Much-admired director Prakash Jha, who had last directed and
co-produced Priyanka Chopra-starrer Jai Gangaajal, has been accused of fraud
and cheating by co-producer Milind Dabke.
In his statement made to the police, Dabke has alleged that
his company is yet to receive the master copy of the movie 'Jai Gangaajal',
which is causing losses to their production house as they are unable to execute
any commercial deals or sell satellite rights of the movie to any TV channel in
the absence of the original copy. Dabke further added that in the case of
another collaboration with Jha, the Arshad Warsi-starrer Fraud Saiyaan, though
there was an agreement to grant all copyrights to the company, the copyright of
sound recording of the film was sold to another music company.
On his part, Prakash Jha Productions CEO Sunil Agrawal
claimed that the allegations are untrue and added that the case has been filed
with an intention to gain cheap publicity. Sunil further told that if this
harassment continues, they will be compelled to file a harassment case against
Dabke.
