Pawan Kalyan's sports flick Thammudu re-releases on completing 25 years!

The Pawan Kalyan film Thammudu, which is making a big screen comeback after 25 years, is ready to hit theaters. For fans of the actor, PA Arun Prasad's 1999 sports action film has become a cult favorite. Prasad wrote and directed the film.

The movie, which is now scheduled for June 15, 2024, theatrical release, is likely to delight all fans of Power Stars. In addition to PSPK, Aditi Gowitrikar and Preeti Jhangiani play key roles in the movie.

The sports action film Thammudu, which stars Pawan Kalyan in the title character, tells the story of spoilt brat Subhash, a college student. All he does for a living is go around with his cronies and hit on girls.

In contrast, their father is proud of his brother, who happens to be a kickboxer and the perfect kid. When his brother gets hurt by a rival and cannot participate in a kickboxing contest, his life takes a terrible turn.

Subhash trains for the event in lieu of his brother and takes on his opponent as a form of atonement for his ways and revenge for his sibling. The remainder of the movie is on whether he succeeds in winning and falls in love with the girl who lives next door and is always there to support him.

The American film Breaking Away served as the inspiration for Aamir Khan's Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, which in turn served as the basis for the Telugu film. Under the titles Badri and Yuvaraja, the movie was also remade in Tamil and Kannada, starring Thalapathy Vijay and Shiva Rajkumar, respectively. Telugu Film Nagar said on X (formerly Twitter) that the Thammudu trailer would debut on June 9, 2024, at 4 p.m.

Following his historic win in the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections, Pawan Kalyan is getting ready to make his big-screen debut in one of his next movies. The actor will next appear in the film OG, also known as They Call Him OG, which is helmed by Sujeeth, of Saaho fame.
