AR Rahman and Prasoon Joshi’s dig at ‘Masakali 2.0’!

Recently, Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria's Masakali 2.0 dropped on Tuesday and received varied reactions on the web. While some loved the efforts, most viewers were not in a mood to be kind to the actors and the remake of the original song from Delhi 6 which featured Sonam Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan. The song was composed by AR Rahman, penned by Prasoon Joshi and sung by Mohit Chauhan. As per media buzz, AR Rahman and Prasoon Joshi were unquestionably not pleased with the remake of Masakali as ‘Masakali 2.0’.

Taking to Twitter, music maestro AR Rahman took a dig at Masakali 2.0 and posted a note which read, "No short cuts, properly commissioned, sleepless nights, writes and re-writes. Over 200 musicians, 365 days of creative brainstorming with the aim to produce music that can last generations. A team of a Director, a Composer and a Lyricist supported by actors, dance directors and a relentless film crew.” - Lots of love and prayers A.R. Rahman."

Also, AR Rahmana captioned the note, "Enjoy the original #Masakali ." AR Rahman's sentiments were resonated by thousands of fans who condemned the song's remake. Prasoon Joshi also tweeted, "All songs written for #Delhi6 including #Masakali close to heart, sad to see when original creation of @arrahman @prasoonjoshi_ & singer @_MohitChauhan insensitively utilised. Upto the conscience of @Tseries. Hopefully the fans will stand for originality. @RakeyshOmMehra."

As per reports, Tara has been linked with her Marjaavaan co-star Sidharth Malhotra and during her appearance on Koffee With Karan, Tara had confessed that she has a crush on one of the former students. Recently, Tara is busy with the promotions of Marjaavaan and during a media chat, when she was questioned about dating rumours, Tara had told that she doesn’t feel awkward with all the gossips.

On these all the link-ups rumours, Tara revealed, “And it’s fun it's sort of flattering in a way that people see a chemistry and, and write about that and things like that and it's part of what we do,”.

Deepika Padukone confessed to dating Ranveer Singh for six years, whereas Karan hinted that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have been together for almost a year. Deepika also responded to all the sweet comments she and boyfriend Ranveer post on each other’s photographs on Instagram and Alia Bhatt spoke about getting Neetu Kapoor’s approval.

Actor Sidharth Malhotra is presently busy shooting for Jabariya Jodi in Lucknow along with Parineeti Chopra. Nowadays, Sidharth has made more headlines for his personal life than professional. Veteran actor Manoj Bajpayee is presently busy with the promotions of his forthcoming film, Aiyaary. In the film, the actor essays the role of an army officer. The movie also stars Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet in lead roles.

Considered as one of the best actors in Bollywood, Manoj Bajpayee feels sad that acting is considered as the easiest profession in India. During a chat with a tabloid, he told, “If you are doing prosthetics then it is physically very torturous. It is mentally exhausting at times, especially when you do films like Aligarh and Gali Guliyan. Only a loonie guy can afford to go through that (referring to pain) again and again. We actors are known as loonies. To go through somebody else’s pain and feel that pain and misery for two months is not an easy thing. That is why I always say acting is the most difficult thing in the world, and sadly in our country, it is taken as the most easy thing.’’

He further told, “So the independent cinema is where we get to be a part of the real stories, characters. Those kind of performances are heavy.”

Speaking about his co-star Sidharth Malhotra, he revealed, ‘’Sidharth is a very receptive person, he wants to do good work. He is in competitive world of mainstream cinema. I don’t belong to that area... I sometimes go there, do some work and come back, to stay there and compete is a difficult thing. I have a lot of admiration for him,” he said.

Film Aiyaary is slated to release on February 9, 2018.

Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone and Sidharth Malhotra were seen spending some quality time with ace director Karan Johar and fashion designer Manish Malhotra just lately. Their photographs were a hit on the web.

But, it got us wondering if the two actors will be teaming up for Karan Johar’s next. A source said a tabloid that Karan is keen to direct Sidharth again and that during their get to together, they discussed movies and even spoke about collaborating for a movie together. Everybody present had an opinion that Deepika and Sid will make a good couple onscreen.

On the film front, while Deepika is busy with Padmavati which releases on December 1, Sid is gearing up for Ittefaq.

Earlier, when Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez started shooting for their first movie opposite each other, A Gentleman in Miami. They also shared a hot, passionate kiss in the film. It was noticeable to everybody that the two didn’t just enjoy warm vibes but something much more special. Sidharth and Jacqueline’s sizzling chemistry was so obvious to everyone that even host Karan Johar had to ask them on his talk-show Koffee With Karan in January this year, if they were seeing each other. Obviously, both calmly repudiated it saying that they were just close friends. Sid was dating Alia Bhatt at that time and everything was forgotten.

A source reveals, “But things came to light when Jacqueline quietly unfollowed Alia Bhatt on Instagram a few weeks ago. This was a result of a major fight which apparently took place between Alia and Sidharth due to his closeness to Jacqueline. Few know that Jackie has been a constant factor in the actor’s life ever since they started shooting for A Gentleman in Miami last year. At that time, during the shoot in Miami, Sid and Alia had just broken up, and Jacqueline and he hit off really well. Post shoot they would often go on long drives and cozy dinners. But then shooting got over and both returned to India. Soon Sid and Alia patched up but Jacqueline still remained a good friend of the actor. Whenever there was time the two would often catch up over a quiet chat or dinner, away from the prying eyes of the paparazzi. It was a friendship that both enjoyed – both are not from Bollywood and would have a lot to catch up on.”

The source further reveals that Alia had no clue about the growing intimacy between her boyfriend and Jacqueline who was always pleasant and warm to her whenever they bumped into each other. “Alia and Sidharth called it quits after a huge fight over Jacqueline a couple of months ago. But then as it is mostly in B-Town, where actresses air kiss each other in public, while waging a cold war in private, Alia wished Jacqueline on her birthday (August 11) last month on Twitter and Jackie thanked her too. But Alia and Sid have had zero Twitter interaction till his last release on August 25 and after that. The last tweet was when Alia sent him besotted smileys when the first trailer of A Gentleman released on July 10.”

It seems Sid and Jackie’s intimacy turned into something more special during the promotions of the movie in July when they were thrown into close proximity with each other. The source further adds, “Jackie appeared quite in love with Sid as one could see in the videos they would put up on social media. They also went together to A Gentleman director Raj Nidimoru’s birthday (August 5) where no paps were present and were spotted having dinner last week (September 2) where paps were there. On August 8 the actress was seen going over to the actor’s house for dinner. Of course the paps were present there too.”

The source adds, “Usually the lead pair in a film is linked in a relationship to promote the film and Jackie and Sid’s crackling chemistry more than helps. But B-Town is talking about the fact that there’s something much more between them and it seems to have the blessings of Sidharth's Godfather Karan Johar too. Sidharth to play Kargil Martyr Captain Vikram Batra in his biopic?

The age of biopics is upon us with actors like Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra essaying the roles of iconic real-life people.

Joining the list is now Sidharth Malhotra who has reportedly signed his next which is a biopic based on Kargil Martyr, Captain Vikram Batra, according to a leading daily. Nicknamed as Sher Shah, Captain Batra's story is heroic, brave and compelling.

Sidharth was in talks for the biopic for quite some time. A source revealed to the daily, "He loves the script and feels that Vikram’s is a heroic story that needs to be told. Whatever happens, it will be him, who plays the role. He’s tight-lipped about the project for now, but he has given it the green signal."

As Sidharth's grandfather has an army background, "he understands the space and the emotions attached to it. He’s done his research on Batra and is raring to go," the source stated.

"Sidharth has been offered biopics, but he was keen on doing an inspirational story — and what better than one on Captain Vikram Batra’s life! Aiyaary is based on real incidents, but this will be a proper biography on screen — Sid’s first."

As Sidharth essayeda double role in A Gentleman, Sid will be seen in a double role for the biopic as well. Captain Batra had an identical twin brother, Vishal, which will be played by Sidharth as well.

Earlier, in an interview, when we asked on whom would Sidharth love to star as in a biopic, the actor disclosed, "There are loads. There so many more personalities that we know and don't know about. There are actually, a couple of scripts in the working before I take the name and disclose it. I think once they are confirmed, I will announce them. That is something I would really be interested in portraying a character or a story which is actually happened."

Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra got frank on Neha Dhupia's show No Filter Neha lately. His episode released yesterday and since then the viewers is going crazy over his disclosures. From speaking about Varun Dhawan's gastro problems to confessing about his manhood being in jeopardy, Malhotra told it all.

In the same episode, when Sidharth was questioned who would make a good Bond girl, the actor came up with two names - Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif.

He told, "I think Katrina would be a wonderful Bond girl. Deepika would be very attractive and sexy to have next to an Indian Bond."

On the film front, Sidharth Malhotra is gearing up for the release of his movie A Gentleman opposite Jacqueline Fernandez. The film hits the screens on August 25, 2017.

Actress Alia Bhatt is a passionate animal lover. She owns two cats as pets and they are the apple of her eyes. Her Instagram page is occupied with pictures of them especially the beautiful white feline who she named Edward.

Speaking about it, she specified to a famous daily's weekly magazine, "I love to show him off. I’m super personal with my social media accounts, especially Instagram, so I love showing people how cute he is. I mean, look how cute! My friends say I’m a little crazy as at times I actually just sit and keep looking at him. But that’s because I love him so much. He’s my baby, and what’s wrong with being obsessed with your own baby?"

She further added, "He’s running around me when I get home, and given my busy schedule, the most precious time I spend with him is when I am going to bed at night and he props himself up, head resting on the pillow like a human being, next to me. It’s going to be heartbreaking when I go on my outdoor shoot as I won’t get to see him."

No cut of kissing scene from A Gentleman by CBFC, confirms Sidharth Malhotra!

Lately, came the news that CBFC former chief Pahlaj Nihalani made a cut in the movie - Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez's film, A Gentleman and that was their lingering smooch.

The CBFC questioned the film’s co-directors Krishna DK and Raj Nidimoru to shorten the time frame of Sid and Jackie’s lingering smooch. A source told the tabloid, "The lead pair’s kiss just went on and on unnecessarily, just like the smooch in the James Bond film and Ranbir Kapoor-Anushka Sharma in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. We’ve asked them to take it easy. The film is titled A Gentleman, but the hero seems to forget his manners while kissing."

But, today at the song launch, Sid had denied all such reports. Sidharth told, "Kissing scene is there. It has not been cut." Back to the movie, Sidharth and Jacqueline are all set to spice things up on screen in A Gentleman. The posters of the movie have already got the fans excited and their chemistry is palpable. In one of the posters, Sid and Jackie are seen kissing each other passionately.

The action comedy is about Gaurav (Sidharth) who is on a mission to settle down. He is in the process of charming Kavya (Jacqueline) into marrying him. Except Kavya is dreading the thought that he is going to pop the question because she is in no hurry at all and wants more excitement in life. She so wishes that this sundar susheel gentleman gets a bit riskier. When an assignment takes Gaurav to Mumbai, shit hits the fan. A case of mistaken identity brings a bunch of dangerous operatives into his life. Soon, trouble follows him to Miami and literally threatens to blow up his dream life.

Directed by Krishna DK and Raj Nidimoru, A Gentleman is slated to release on August 25, 2017. This is the second time we will see Sidharth and Jacqueline will be seen on screen after Brothers which also starred Akshay Kumar.

Alia Bhatt and I breakup? For what?, reveals Sidharth Malhotra!

Alleged lovers Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra may not have confessed their relationship in public, but their regular appearances together are a testimony to what's brewing between the two.

But, gossips mills were abuzz with the news that the twosome has seemingly called it a quit with no sign of reunion.  An insider disclosed to the tabloid, "Sidharth and Alia have split, and unlike previous instances, this time, it seems permanent. They will not get back together again.” The insider further added, "Alia and Sid are avoiding each other and are not even on talking terms now. Maybe with time, they will get back to being friends, but for now they are maintaining a distance from each other. They were having a lot of fights in the recent times. Mutually, they decided it wasn’t working out and it was better to end it."

But, when Sidharth, who was present at the song launch of his forthcoming film A Gentleman, was questioned about this rumoured breakup with Alia, he told, "Alia and I break up? For what? Breaking tables and chairs."

He was also questioned about how he used to impress his girlfriends in the past, to this he told, "I used to do bad desi raps. As a true gentleman, I made fewer mistakes. I treat them nicely especially my girlfriends."

Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez's sizzling chemistry both on and off screen has been the talk of the town. Conjectures around something's brewing between Sidharth and Jacqueline have been doing the rounds ever since their film A Gentleman went on-floors. In fact, rumours have been widespread that Sidharth's closeness to Jacqueline hasn't gone down well with his sweetheart Alia Bhatt.

Sidharth, in spite of being in the industry for almost five years, cannot take such rumours in his stride and is still learning to do so.

In an interview with a daily, when the actor was questioned about it, he told, "Is it something about me? Barring Akshay Kumar (Sidharth's co-star in 2015 movie Brothers) all my co-actors and I have been items."

Question Sid if it is the apparent chemistry between him and Jackie that is responsible for these rumours and he expresses, "It's sad that going out for meals and chilling together has such connotations in this universe. Apparently, comfort between co-stars is suggestive of something more than a good working rapport. People in show business aren't given the leeway to be normal."

He further adds, "I've been compelled to be okay with these rumours rather than be upset about them."

And in spite of the rumours, Sidharth and Jacqueline's pairing has been loved by the viewers.

When questioned about the reason behind this uncomplicated friendship with Jacqueline, Sidharth confesses, "You don't need an ice breaker with someone like Jacky, she's always positive. I don't remember her looking stressed, such energy is alluring. What worked for us was the fact that we gelled off camera. We bonded over our common interests. We used to keep talking about our love for horses and one morning, we just went horse riding at the race course."

A Gentleman is all set to release on August 25, 2017.
