Actress Manisha Koirala was the reigning queen of the box office
in the 90s, recognised for her acting ability and noted for her acts in films
like, 1942 - A Love Story, Bombay, Khamoshi, Dil Se, Akele Hum Akele Tum among
many others. Her comeback film, Dear Maya, didn't do many wonders but that
doesn't stop the diva to try her luck again.
Manisha has been roped in to essay Sanjay Dutt's mother,
Nargis, in the latter's biopic being helmed by Rajkumar Hirani. Ranbir Kapoor
will play the character of Dutt in the movie. Speaking about working with
Ranbir, in an interview with a leading daily, she revealed, "I find these
young actors hard working and focused. Ranbir is one of the finest talents we
have in our [film] industry. And I believe it’s not about senior or younger
co-stars; for me, it’s always great to share screen space with good
actors."
Manisha added that she doesn't really about who her
co-actors are. She told, "I don’t really care much about the celebrity
status (of her co-actors) because honestly, it’s the by-product of the original
thing, which is talent and the capacity of the actor."
Not just Ranbir, Manisha also finds Alia Bhatt
super-talented. She went on to say, "She’s [Alia] just so brilliant and
super-talented. I loved her in Udta Punjab and Dear Zindagi. I thought she was
flawless and I’d love to work with her someday.”
Manisha admits that she is still struggling the changing
times and the social media. “I am still struggling with it. I have a young team
of people managing my social media and it’s their show ... they know what to do
and they guide me on what will work best for me,” Manisha told and ended discussion.
