Aanand L Rai’s much-delayed project Manmarziyan is getting a
full overhaul.
The romantic drama started out with Ayushmann Khurrana and
Bhumi Pednekar in the lead and Sameer Sharma as director, before Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari
replaced Sameer. Now I can confirm that Anurag Kashyap has taken over the reins
from Ashwiny, and he’s swapped Ayushmann and Bhumi for Dangal’s Sanya Malhotra
and the newbie Jassie Gill. Manmarziyan 2.0 rolls in Punjab this December, and
I hope things go smoothly this time around!
