Lately, the news of Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar's film
Toilet Ek Prem Katha being leaked online had stunned the industry. Post that
Akshay in a powerful note had raised the concern of piracy.
Now, Arjun Kapoor has come forward to urge people to not
indulge in piracy of films. Responding to a tweet which promoted piracy in the
most blatant way, Arjun posted, "Heartbreaking 2 read this, encouraging
piracy so easily without realising how many people's hard work & livelihood
is nullified is just wrong."
Previously, in a post, Akshay had written, "The fight
against piracy is critical and it's reassuring to see the swift action taken by
the Crime Branch of the unfortunate incident involving our film Toilet: Ek Prem
Katha. I would like to urge my friends, colleagues, fans and audiences to
please say no to piracy. Thank you for all your support."
Numerous colleagues from the industry have stood by Akshay
and shown their support in the matter. "Piracy is a serious problem which
is killing our film industry. Guys, please do not support piracy watch films
only in the theatre," Varun Dhawan posted.
