While numerous celebs came forward to call out the CBFC for
their regressive thoughts, Ajay Devgn begs to differ. The actor feels that
there is no problem with the board that needs to be addressed.
Ajay, who was present for the Baadshaho trailer yesterday,
while addressing the issue told, “I really don’t know… The films that I
produced and submitted to the censor board, I didn’t face any issue. I don’t
think what’s the problem. I actually don’t think there’s any problem. I feel if
you rationalize with them (CBFC) everything can be understood. At least that’s
my experience.”
Lately, it was Aamir Khan who had spoken about this and has
reiterated that the board, in any case, should not censor but verify. "As
far as my knowledge goes, the CBFC, in any case, isn't supposed to censor, it
is supposed to grade the film and certify ki kiss age group ko hum ye dikha
sakte hain. So, I guess that's how we should proceed. That's what also Mr.
Shyam Benegal's recommendations are if I am not mistaken. So hopefully things
will get better soon," Aamir told.
The actor even explained the reports of them self-censoring
intimate scenes to avoid hassles with the CBFC. When Milan was questioned on
the same, he told, "I don't think anybody decides how we edit the film.
This is a straightforward film and is not likely to get into any trouble."
At this point, Ajay interrupted saying,"I don't know from where this story
came, we have definitely not made a porn film."
Ajay was also questioned about his onscreen kiss with
Ileana, to which the actor told, "It is not shown in a kiss-kiss way, it
is mostly an expression."
The film releases on September 1, 2017.
