Superstar Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ has become a trendsetter in
more ways than one. The engaging and motivating story of wrestler Mahavir Singh
Phogat’s dedication and perseverance touched millions in India. It is
biographical sports-film that starred Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra in
pivotal roles.
On Mahavir Singh Phogat, Aamir had once told, “Here is a man
who once envisioned that his unfulfilled wrestling ambitions would be fulfilled
by his future son, but had four daughters instead. He faced immense pressure
from his family to keep trying for a boy… And yet, not only was he content with
his daughters, he also broke all social norms by believing in them, investing
in them, and raising them to be wrestlers in their own right rather than merely
bringing them up to marry them off.”
Dangal has made over 1,900 crores worldwide and is inching
to a whopping 2,000 crore mark. After breaking records across India and China,
Dangal has become the first Indian Film to have added an audio description for
its visually impaired TV audience.
As per a tabloid, NGO Saksham has finished the audio
description of the movie. Rummi Seth, founder of the NGO told, "It took us
over two months to do the audio description of 'Dangal'. What people don't
realise is that entertainment is as important for a differently-abled person as
it is for us."
Saksham will also be working on movies like Hindi Medium,
Airlift and Raagdesh. They have also done audio tracks for movies like PK and
Black.
