Bollywood baadshah Shah Rukh Khan is
all set to start shooting for Aanand L. Rai's next. In the movie, the megastar
will be seen as a dwarf for the first time in his career.
Previously it was reported that the film will be widely shot
in the city of Meerut and the United States. Last year in the month of November
Rai had taken off to Meerut for the recce.
Speaking about it, a source had disclosed to us, "Since
Aanand L Rai understands the heart of small towns like no other, it is quite
obvious that certain portions of the film will be shot in such locations. He is
making a hush-hush trip to Meerut this week to scout for locations and also
familiarises himself with the culture and the people."
Now, as per a famous daily, the makers of the movie have
recreated the city of Meerut in Mumbai including the famous Clock Tower aka
Ghanta Ghar and other important areas.
A source close to the development of the movie stated to the
daily, "Since Shah Rukh is playing a dwarf, some VFX technicalities are
involved, which will be difficult to execute outdoors in the midst of crowds.
So Aanand thought of shooting on a set in a controlled location to facilitate
the process. The movie is expected to roll by the end of this month."
There have been numerous reports making the rounds about the
female lead of the movie. First, it was reported that Katrina Kaif and Deepika
Padukone will be the leading ladies of the movie. However, Deepika opted
out due to her date issues as it was clashing with Padmavati. Then it was
stated that Alia has been approached for the role.
But, Aanand L Rai's representative has given a statement repudiating
all such rumors. The statement reads as "A lot of names have been thrown
in but at the moment the female lead has not been finalised. The casting is
underway and is taking time as it is a difficult role, in fact, one of the most
challenging that Aanand has ever worked on. The role needs a lot of prep time
as well has shoot time for which a substantial chunk of dates is required. It's
not just about finishing this film but making it."
